that's it really Its about a month since I found out I have breast cancer, have had core biopsy and blue dye sentinel node biopsy. Just had the results of second biopsy and it has spread to the lymph glands so they are coming out tomorrow as well.

well I have been out for nearly a week now and have been staying eith my sister so she can look after me, I could get used to it! I had the staples out friday and have had to start taking antibiotics as there was a little bit of infection, that was a bit of a blow as I have managed to avoid them for 17 years but really don't want to risk this getting infected. There is a bit of a build up of fluid round it as the drains fell out a couple of days before tey should have. The nurse at the gps practice who took out the staples was so lovely, she gave me her home address and told me to call on her if I was worried at all at the wekend, how nice is that.I go to see the consultant on tuesday afternoon to get the results of what they find out about the tumour and lymph glands and hopefuloly what sort of treatment they recomend.I expect to have chemo because of the lymph being alredy affected but don't know if they will also recomend radiotherapy.

Oh don't worry about the antibiotics beep, if you've avoided them for 17 years they will work really well and as you say, you don't want an infection, these hospital infections nowadays...you're taking the antibiotics, nuff said. So glad you're on the mend. Aren't sisters great, mine is coming over on the 8th to help me
