mastectomy tomorrow hugs please

that's it really Its about a month since I found out I have breast cancer, have had core biopsy and blue dye sentinel node biopsy. Just had the results of second biopsy and it has spread to the lymph glands so they are coming out tomorrow as well.

make sure that you get as much support (on here but more importantly irl) as you can.

Please ask them to be very careful with the lymph nodes so you have less chance of ending up with lymphodema. I know getting the cancer out is the important bit.. but my friend (who is remission from her GRADE 3 breast tumour.. who they said would never reach her 30th birthday. .and who is now 32 ) has a very dodgy arm which I understand may have been avoided.)

hello all thank you for all the messages, I have been at home for the afternoon and hope to be dischatged tomorrow.The operation went very well and I am recovering well, I am pleasded to say it was much better than I expected not nearly as painful as I was imagining.I am still tired all the time though. willbe back soon keep all the good thoughts coming .Thank you.

That's fantastic news beep! Do you have drains? I felt a bit odd walking around the town with a bag of bottles and pipes coming out of my back! Wishing you a speedy recovery and lots of hugs (((HUGS)))
