For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Franny if you do nothing else today, you must visit the cyclist's lycra thread. It's most, ummm, educational

fullmoonfiend · 08/11/2007 21:02

link! link!

IdrisTheDragon · 08/11/2007 21:03

I am very tired. I think I will have to go to bed soon. Humph.

FrayedKnot · 08/11/2007 21:04

Tatties · 08/11/2007 21:06

fullmoonfiend · 08/11/2007 21:11

Tatties · 08/11/2007 21:17

Yes probably

IdrisTheDragon · 08/11/2007 21:33

Got tempted by the lycra thread.

I am in .

fullmoonfiend · 08/11/2007 21:34

I keep gettinh ''cannot display the page''. I feel deprived...

IdrisTheDragon · 08/11/2007 21:43

DO not feel deprived. Really .

TooTicky · 08/11/2007 21:46

I have delivered nearly 100 catalogues today and about 130 newspapers. All with dd2 on my back. I think my feet are on strike. Dd2 might be too. She is starting to eye the sling with suspicion.

How is everybody?

ahundredtimes · 08/11/2007 21:46

FMF - don't be daft! I did have to leave that thread though. I decided whilst waiting on the landing for ds1 to check all the bathroom windows, that actually I am not phobic about birds but I am repulsed by them. And there is a certain level of thrill in revulsion isn't there?

I felt a peculiar chiffedness about the lentils tattie, mainly because I don't want to be a total imposter on a healthy eating thread.

TooT, that sounds like a tough, tough job.

lionheart · 08/11/2007 22:09

Who Hugh?

FrannyandZooey · 08/11/2007 22:09

Isawbumperkissingsantaclaus · 08/11/2007 22:12

Can I just say that I am loving all your titles for these threads! Do you stay awake at night trying to think of good ones?

lionheart · 08/11/2007 22:12

I did mean chuffedness but I am tired and germy. They didn't taste if anything, really.

(Oh, hang on, are you supposed to cook them?)

FrannyandZooey · 08/11/2007 22:13

Isaw yes we do

we have a huge communal futon and we sit up late bickering about smoothies and punning wildly

lionheart · 08/11/2007 22:16

It's very good, TooT.
