Hi all,
I'm going to see a specialist at the end of the week which I can't wait for, but I'm feeling so down about the pain I'm in!
I've had hip bursitis for a long time probably 3 years? Maybe more. It's my fault, I haven't treated it properly as it would get better and disappear for a few months, come back and do the same again.
I have two kids under 3 and had them in quick succession during the pregnancies I had SPD and I did physio and saw an osteopath. After the kids were born my hips got better.
In July last year I had an online physiotherapist appt because I started getting sharp pains in my groin (mainly left side, but can be both) be gave me exercises to do and told me that I just need to "push through the pain and keep doing them" but I just couldn't. It's too painful!
What's making it worse is all the repetitive movements I have to do with two young kids and housework. I'm at the stage now where the last two days the kids have just watched tv mostly as I can't weight bear on my left leg without pain :(
This is really getting me down, I'm only 33. Is this it for me? It sounds so dramatic but it's been such a long time now...I can't carry the kids for too long or chase after them etc
Should I ask for a steroid injection would that help with the pain and enable me to do the exercises?
Some positive stories would really help!
