Whilst I know its not that bad , dd1 has been in distress most of the night and day , (moaning and crying and flailing her body but found to be asleep when we go in)and this follows several infections (5) over the last 10week . She cant eat solids easily, as the ulcers are enormous in her mouth and she has a temperature and is extremely fractious. Other than that she doesn't have the spots yet associated with it , so IM not really sure????????. Looks like we'll have another fun time with a poor hysterical dd1 in gp surgery tomorrow morning. She has soooo had enough of it all , as have I .

corrrrr is that what the real worlds like lol , managed to get out today in the end, feel slightly more human and less of a crazy primitive cave women!!

Now dd2 has it me thinks, Im hoping not as bad as dd1, (as she has a bit of an illness history the last 3 months), but dd2 is much stronger right now. I think her incisors are coming up too , good timing, what another week its going to be. So in all intents and purposes , d1 should be out of the woods by tomorrow , as thats day 7 of having it , although only day 5 of ulcers. Every day is slightly better though.

my boy seems a little bit better today, although more spots, now all over his arms and legs?? started to wonder if it was chickenpox cos its not just hands feet and mouth, but there aren't any spots on his torso, so i don't think so.
adults can get it but not as bad. i am privileged enough to have a fantastic dr's surgery, and my lovely dr called back immediately and did research for me. she said that there are rarely complications but that if the spots get too big (more than a cm) that can be a sign of infection so bring him back in.
it lasts about a week apparantly.
my boy doesn't seem to have blisters in his mouth anymore, poor lad had it at the same time as his tooth coming through so i just assumed his screaming was that.
having a sick child is the pits. i feel horrible because i find myself alternating between full of love and sympathy and bored and grumpy with being clung to and wept at all the time.

ahh thats good , hes a bit better.

The cm thing , is that also with the ulcers?? As one in dds mouth is nearly that size. Or are you talking about the hands and feet spots?

May be take him back if the spots have spread , are they more red than like watery blisters?

Still not sure if dd2 has it, , my dd1 is telling me that her sister is teething and not got HF&M!!! Shes managed her cereal and 2 slices of melon this morning.Dd1 is soooo excited she can manage some fruit today and maanged to eat 4 slices now !!!
