For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Quick hi-jack - Tatties, I was in heaven at ds's bowling party as the place was deserted and the young dudes in charge had a Smiths compilation cd which they played all morning over the PA!! I've been singiung Girlfriend in a Coma and A Rush and a Push all week..

TooTicky · 28/10/2007 10:30

Did he?

lionheart · 28/10/2007 10:32

The boy with the corn in his side or

Beets and dates are on your side or

Tyme is against me now.

ghoulmoonfiend · 28/10/2007 10:34

of course! (I do have feminine wiles, even if K have no chest and a droopy nose...)

But I did have the satisfaction of turning him down for future dates. He was swoony though. Artistic, tall, well built, green eyes and long floppy auburn hair, with no freckles. He had his Own Place too (granny flat at home) which was full of arty artefacts, and draped sari fabric and bad charcoal nudes...

While I was on the allotment I also came up with Children of The Sweet Corn in a horror film stylee.

And for another week - Frutiny on the Bounty!
Or Stay Young and Fruitiful

i'm getting very frustrated..i have concluded that i am the only person on mn who can see the word ignore at the end of each thread in active convos and the only person who thinks it is horrible and negative it jumps out at me but clearly no one else can see it at all

FrannyandZooey · 28/10/2007 16:16

Zippi I agreed with you on that thread

it is very wet here. I've been shopping and bought some things for ds to put in his stocking and some books (we hardly EVER buy him new books from a real bookshop) and I want to give them all to him now

Dp has bought ds a ball of string to play with (latest obsession along with cutting things is cutting things and tying them on to other things)

predictably he has transformed the house into some kind of huge surreal forest of string. It's easily good enough to go in the Tate.

Hide all knitting. < enigmatically >

Bocoreepy · 28/10/2007 17:42

I learnt knitting and dd1 unraveled a whole scarf all over the house and i will never knit again. Actually i also hated it, so that's fine.

I did meet MrsC, and it was lovely! She has a lovely house with lovely children and is lovely. And she didn't shout at me once.

FrannyandZooey · 28/10/2007 17:49

Did she talk about goat's eyes?

FrannyandZooey · 28/10/2007 18:11

BBBee · 28/10/2007 18:11

did you shout at her?

Bocoreepy · 28/10/2007 18:13

No no, i didn't shout, there was practically NO goat erotica at all.

FrayedKnot · 28/10/2007 18:24
BBBee · 28/10/2007 18:26

FK!

FrayedKnot · 28/10/2007 18:42

We had lunch out today so I had a risotto verde with lots of veg in it and a tomato salad. Have had soup for supper. WE are very low on fruit in fact I think we only have apples left, so I'm not doing to well on that front.

Greengrocers tomorrow.

I have bought a beautiful long purple swishy dress from M&S of all places to wear to the Christmas party I am going to in December. Going to - I'm organizing it, nearly porgot

Now I have to get the rowing machine back in action so that I can dare to show my arms in the dress - it's strappy

ahundredtimes · 28/10/2007 19:55

Hullloooo. We did it. There were flowers and fairy lights, and the garden table next to the kitchen table and a huge amount of drink. There were NO games. I think it was okay. (cringe).

Bocoreepy · 28/10/2007 20:15

Oh good! Did Mr100 have some kind of finale though? How was the stew? Did you have a lovely time?

ahundredtimes · 28/10/2007 20:18

No, but funnily it got to about half twelve and I started jumping about saying 'let's play a game'. I got The Third Act Nerves. But everyone was very talky and nice and they ignored me and carried on jabbering.

I don't know if I liked it. The kitchen looked nice, and the food was good and I suppose it was fine. Mr100 had a good time. He made me laugh when he grandly announced 'You are our favourite people in Bath' and they looked both flattered and horrified at once. Was very funny.

Bocoreepy · 28/10/2007 20:21

Why don't you know if you liked it? Are they your favourite people in Bath too?
That's a great thing to announce at a party - all parties should start like that, i'd be very flattered and not horrified at all, i don't think.

ahundredtimes · 28/10/2007 20:28

No, it was fine. I don't know. I miss my friends in London I suppose.

dh is very friendly and likes everyone and asks them round and I flap about and do my best and feel sick. He is a much nicer person I am. He has befriended these right wing GP's, I don't like them much. They are chippy and hard work. Our poker friends came and I like them, and really everyone else who came I like, especially the women. I always like women more than men.

I don't know why I'm being hardwork about it actually.

Bocoreepy · 28/10/2007 20:35

Where do you go to meet right wing GP's? Well, here obviously it would be the doctors surgery i suppose. I didn't know you played poker? [dark horse] With those visors?

Doing a dinner party for 14 is brave and huge - you didn't even flap, you did Very Good Work and I think it'd have been a lot to ask for you to have also liked everyone totally. Oh i'll have to tell you about my evening out, but by email incase villagers get modems.
