For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

WOW Wombling, that sounds good!

I am utterly stuffed. Had 2 helpings of Moroccan chick pea casserole, barley risotto and roast beetroot, parsnip and carrot. It was one of those don't-want-to-stop-eating meals.
And then I had orange cake.

Ds1 stood on a pin cushion earlier - it was actually stuck in his foot.

Fmf, I was so enchanted by the idea of your having a camper van called Bluebell that I told dp, and he said, "I wonder if she'd like some vinyl bluebells on it."
at you being able to cook while you are out.
Have you put up pics of the doggy cake yet?

oh I like beeheaded - that is very funny. I wonder how 100 dinner party is going - do you think they are doing the games? I bet she gets all contraversial.

Franny I thought you were out at a party that you didn;t want to be at.

Boco - how is your head?

BBBee · 27/10/2007 22:05

hi avi

I still drink loads of coffe - at uni they have a machine.

I bought a flask.

They call me a coffee snob.

Cap fits...

pinkspottywellies · 27/10/2007 22:06

Eek, I've missed lots today.

Despite it being a lovely offer and a sensible idea I would rather not wear a t-shirt for the meet up. I would feel sooooo self-conscious and cringy matching with a load of people I'd only just met!!! Sorry for being so blunt honest, but I suppose if mine could just say 'pink' and not be too glittery I could join in. This is no reflection on anyone else who wants to wear a t-shirt - I think it makes you sound fun. It would just make me cringe

TooT, I have roasted beetroot before. I usually just hurl it in with loads of other veg - sweet potato, parsnip, carrots etc and have it with sweet chilli sauce. Yum Hang on does this mean you have your cooker back?!

BBB I like the boots. I tried on some lovely red boots today and I think I might go back and get them even though what I actually need to buy is tops. But nowhere can I find anything nice and long sleeved. Don't they realise it's winter FGS!

Franny I do the practicing conversations thing to. You have all the right things to say when they inevitably get arsey..... and then they don't! Then I just stand there like a goldfish!

I hope Mr100x is having a good Singstar Party

TooTicky · 27/10/2007 22:28

I did indeed roast beetroot with parsnip and carrots and it was delicious. I've finally found a way I can enjoy parsnips!
Yes, we have a shiny new cooker! It is inspiring me to new and unfeasible levels of baking.

zippitippitoes · 27/10/2007 22:30

are there more cringes than takers?

pinkspottywellies · 27/10/2007 22:31

Yay! TooT has a cooker!! Parsnips are lovely! Oh I meant to say I liked your daleks!

TooTicky · 27/10/2007 22:31

I declare an interest and cannot comment

TooTicky · 27/10/2007 22:32

Thanks Pink

pinkspottywellies · 27/10/2007 22:32

I hope you mean about the t-shirts Zippi - that comment could sound iffy taken out of context!!

Did you find your friend to stay with in Falmouth or did you stay somewhere else? Or is it not yet?

FrayedKnot · 27/10/2007 22:34

Please tell me what you need to do to a beetroot before your roast it? I dread purple fingers when I do anything with a beetroot

and I have some in my veg box

zippitippitoes · 27/10/2007 22:35

really..could it?

sorry about that..i am chatting on msn but will try to keep my conversations in the right place

I'm a cringe i'm afraid

FrannyandZooey · 27/10/2007 22:35

TooT I don't think it is happening, is it. Thanks so much for offer. I am having a lovely cup of tea out of my Franny mug if it is any consolation.

TooTicky · 27/10/2007 22:36

My hands were very pinky-purple earlier but ample washing up is the perfect antidote.

zippitippitoes · 27/10/2007 22:38

yes thank you toot it was a nice offer...i feel a bit guilty that i am a wimp whenit comes to this kind of thing

Bocoreepy · 27/10/2007 22:38

Cringe too, sorry. Who are the takers? Maybe the takers could go for it and the cringers could have discrete name badges.

My hangover is gone i think. Comfort food and hair of the dog. That's not very 10/10 is it. Will do better.

FrayedKnot · 27/10/2007 22:38

I want one that says

"Franny Says I Can Eat Cake"

on it

TooTicky · 27/10/2007 22:38

That's okay Franny, I suspected it would go this way

Sorry FK, meant to say, I just peeled it and cut it into approx 1" cubish pieces.

zippitippitoes · 27/10/2007 22:40

hmm mine would say don't fret franny

FrannyandZooey · 27/10/2007 22:40
