For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Really, Bocoreepy, oh good! I was quite please with it, did you see I haven't changed any letters?

Sunday I think - oh, we should make sure we've both changed the clocks

Bocoreepy · 26/10/2007 12:27

there's a lot of potential for things going wrong isn't there - i'll probably be horribly late or turn up and you're all in bed.

I did notice the letters, very clever and the most vile halloween name i've seen. Quite put me off my soup.

I'm doing the usual 'right! if you don't eat your lunch quicker we are NOT going swimming because it will be TOO late.' and then hoping they eat really really slowly.

TooTicky · 26/10/2007 12:47

Nearly gone MrsC? We have two weeks.

Hello Boco.

TooTicky · 26/10/2007 12:49

I think swimming depends very much on the changing rooms. If they are cold and smell of wee it is very offputting. Wide lockers are a bonus.

MrScarRot · 26/10/2007 12:51

Two weeks? We get one week and a day. What a swizz!

TooTicky · 26/10/2007 13:00

Well, we get a week and a half and then they add on some inservice days.

MrScarRot · 26/10/2007 13:02

I see. I thought only the private schools got two weeks.

I am going to try and make a lemon poppy seed cake now with my xanthum gum

TooTicky · 26/10/2007 13:43

I have put some birthday pics on my profile

Has fmf shown us her doggy cake yet?

MrScarRot · 26/10/2007 13:53

I can only see a car!

Lullabyloo · 26/10/2007 13:55

ughhhhhhhh mrs c that name is unbelievably vile.....you must surely win the vote......very clever indeed is our mrs c

Been to music this morning,dh had a hospital appointment & turned up halfway through the class...none of the girls there have ever met dh & all stared when he left they all said'gosh..he's not like we imagined
now I'm wondering what they were imagining
somebody younger?
more lentil weavery?
better looking?
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
ds was very pleased & proud anyway that daddy spared 5 mins to come & see him clash his cymbols & march.

have had a bit of a breakthrough, dermatologist did more blood tests this week & they have come back showing almost non existant ferritin & B12 levels which could quite well explain my exhaustion, hair loss, poor memory, fainting etc.......wish they'd picked this up a little sooner.
Have a vit B12 injection booked for Mon morning & then a course of iron & then we'll see

Lullabyloo · 26/10/2007 13:57

ooooh Toot....am impressed with the dalek, the cake & the pirate.....who is he????

MrScarRot · 26/10/2007 13:58

I think Jaamytiville horror one will win, that's very good.

Hope your injection makes you feel better, ll.

MrScarRot · 26/10/2007 13:59

Lullabyloo · 26/10/2007 14:05

Franny are you ok?

IdrisTheDragon · 26/10/2007 14:07

I think you an't see the pitures MrsC beause probably Toot has us as firends and maybe you were a different name when she made you a friend?

TooTicky · 26/10/2007 14:12

Yes, I made friends with a nice wholesome carroty person, NOT a sinister man with rotting scars.

TooTicky · 26/10/2007 14:14

LL, hope the B12 is helpful!

The pirate is Captain Barnacle who did a fabulous show at ds2's party.

TooTicky · 26/10/2007 14:17

MrsC, I am chastened and ashamed. You were not on my mates list! I have now added both your names.
Sorry.
Grovel.

Lullabyloo · 26/10/2007 14:35

Well...captain Barnacle can come and shiver me timbers anytime

LullabyGhouL · 26/10/2007 14:41
