For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Hello everyone

I do like the moonwatch in the corner (sorry it's getting to you though Franny)

MrsCarrot · 25/10/2007 21:13

Tatties, are you better?

What mooon in the corner?

Tatties · 25/10/2007 21:58

Yes thanks MrsC, feeling much better again today, boob not sore any more and I no longer feel shaky. Is it your birthday soon btw?

There is a full moon at the top right hand corner of the page

MrsCarrot · 25/10/2007 22:17

So there is!

I don't have time for a birthday, it is sandwiched in the middel of dc's. I really hope this illness doesn't pass on to us all. Poor LO, he is asleep now but it hasn't been a good day for him.

I had a very healthy tuna, GARLIC, brown rice, tomato, cabbage, mange tout, carrot, onion, pepper, mushroom and harrissa thing but I have since stuffed some Prestat chocolate and turkish delight. Sigh.

pinkspottywellies · 25/10/2007 23:13

No word from Boco since last night? Hope everything's ok. Don't like this new layout - you can't search for when you last message was. I guess I can go into my own message from 'threads I'm on'. Hmm, change. Rubbish food today, my sister is here and we went out for tea. I wanted a salad but the waitress kindly told me that the chicken wasn't just nice chicken breast it was crappy reformed chicken. Very kind of her I thought!

You didn't sound grumpy last night Lull, I just didn't want to be adding to your woes!

MrsCarrot · 25/10/2007 23:26

Boco has been on today - I think her dp came home ok in the end. He had lots of washing to put away.

You can keep the old mnet layout if you like.

FrannyandGreenychordCarrier · 26/10/2007 08:36

Morning, am eating apples, pears, giant satsuma thing, raisins

I am down in the dumps a bit and it is drizzling

my mooncup is a boiling, oh yeah

FunkyGlassSlipupandyouredead · 26/10/2007 09:31

Lol Franny.

I am yet to eat any fruit or veg and I have run out of tea bags

I did have honey on my toast rather than marmalade but I dont suppose that counts as doing well.

Have a good day....

MrsCarrot · 26/10/2007 10:14

It is a grey drizzley, muzzy sort of day isn't it?

I am having apple, banana, raspberries, plum, kiwi and pear with granola and soya yoghurt. Well, I am trying to have it, every time I go to chop a bit more fruit someone requires something of me, Llo yanking the laptop as I type.

Have a nice day.

BBBee · 26/10/2007 10:34

hello - what the fuck is going on?

what the fuck is this? and this

I can't scan down to read the thread - it is all on pages and I can;t be bothereed despite how much I love you.

It's been fucked over big time - I don;t want to learn a new thing.

sulk.

BBBee · 26/10/2007 10:34

BBBee · 26/10/2007 10:37

oh right - have fiddled - am happy.

BBBee · 26/10/2007 10:37

(not in a rude lady way)

Bocoreepy · 26/10/2007 11:16

Goodness Bee that was a rollercoaster of emotion wasn't it.

I'm taking the children swimming - I hate swimming, unless in hot country in outdoor pool. I hate changing rooms and trying to get 3 of us dry and changed, I hate public pools, i hate the sound of them and the smell and being cold and damp. Oh well. they love it.

MrsCarrot · 26/10/2007 11:24

LOL Beee, glad you got there in the end.

Boco - I hate swimming pools as well. DD camr home from school one day and said in a very indignant voice, 'mummy, you can actually go swimming in the winter you know'.

TooTicky · 26/10/2007 11:36

Good morning
I had an apple with my muesli. Am tidying.
We have some sunshine.
There are colds floating around and dd2 has had 3 hot and restless nights. She's got a loose cough and is a bit pitiful today.

MrScarRot · 26/10/2007 12:04

Sympathy, Toot, ill children are awful. F is a little better today but the nappies are putrid, poor thing. He has not had a good week.

Can't believe half term is nearly gone, we didn't get up until nine this morning and it still seemed quite dark then.

Bocoreepy · 26/10/2007 12:07

When do the clocks change?

Oh yeuuurrhhhggg MrsC, your halloween name is gagsome and stinky.
