For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I am at work. Have had some muesli. Am about to have fruit salad.

Am on the phone to somewhat incompetant IT dept.

FrannyandGreenychordCarrier · 25/10/2007 09:28

Idris let me have your address and I will send that book, if you like. Sorry things aren't going well

Funky don't worry about keeping up with the thread, it is a job somedays. Will try to think of some tips for you later - what kind of food do you like eating?

FunkyGlassSlipupandyouredead · 25/10/2007 09:32

erm...basic & easy to cook

I have a 3.5 year old and a 10 month old who eat mainly what we do. Stuff like spag bol, cottage pie, roast dinners with veg etc. Sandwiches & fruit & yoghurt for lunch every day which is dull but gives us what we need and is easy.

IdrisTheDragon · 25/10/2007 09:45

Franny - is that really you ?

Will email - very nice of you . I am eating my fruit which is also good .

Boco · 25/10/2007 09:47

Morning. Dp arrived home at half eleven - apparently the wall says open until 11. I made him put all the obsessively folded washing away.

IdrisTheDragon · 25/10/2007 10:54

Hello Boco . Glad your DP arrived back (and that you made him put away the washing).

Am resisting the urge to cut sneaky slivers off what remains of ds2's cake. It would be bad and wrong of me.

TooT! Am delighted for you

TooTicky · 25/10/2007 13:47

It would be wrong to sneak cake because it must be Shared Fairly.

TooTicky · 25/10/2007 13:48

Anyway, I only snuck a little bit.

TooTicky · 25/10/2007 13:49
