For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Franny was playing scrabble with me a couple of weeks ago

FrannyandGreenychordCarrier · 24/10/2007 20:39

TooT, I still AM - it's your go LOL

MrsCarrot · 24/10/2007 20:42

Mmm, Toot, I must try those. Would they work as well with gluten free flour do you think? I have some xanthum gum now, that is the stretchy additive I think you need, Frayedknot.

Tatties - Glad you're feeling better but you must still rest. It's a weird shaky feeling after isn't it? An ordeal is the right description.

Boco - Sorry, you haven't scared me off at all. I had to check a few things as Sunday rings a bell but I think it's just a group I go to in the evening so the day should be fine. We don't tend to have lunch much on a Sunday though, usally late breakfast, is that alright with you? We could have bagels or pancakes or something? Dh could go cycling with ds1 maybe and the girls can play. It will be a great excuse to get DD's room sorted out. I will e-mail you.

I have had weird rice/vegetable pasta with tomato sauce and green beans. It was uneventful.

TooTicky · 24/10/2007 20:43

Is NOT, it's YOURS!

FrannyandGreenychordCarrier · 24/10/2007 20:43

when did you play? I checked them all a couple of days ago and it was your go

TooTicky · 24/10/2007 20:44

MrsC, I don't know anything about gluten free flour I'm afraid. Did I scare you with my grandfather?

TooTicky · 24/10/2007 20:45

um
Really?
Last time I checked, it was your go...

FrayedKnot · 24/10/2007 20:47

Where do I get Xanthan Gum Mrs C?

I've noticed a few g/f recipes with it in.

FrannyandGreenychordCarrier · 24/10/2007 20:48

maybe I didn't get the email, TooT

sorry if it is me, I did let it go for days and days

TooTicky · 24/10/2007 20:48

Franny, have checked inbox.... wonder if dp deleted one by mistake?

MrsCarrot · 24/10/2007 20:51

Toot - I replied to your e-mail about your Grandfather, did you not get it?? I enjoyed it very much.

Frayedknot - I got mine in the local health food shop but I haven't tried it yet.

pinkspottywellies · 24/10/2007 20:55

I've got no vowels

FrannyandGreenychordCarrier · 24/10/2007 20:56

you know we should take this to the scrabble thread, it is in active doodahs in the AIBU section

it may be me, Toot, do you have the link or shall I hunt for it?

TooTicky · 24/10/2007 20:57

No, I didn't get it MrsC

Franny, p;erhaps I didn't get yours either

TooTicky · 24/10/2007 20:58

You find the link Franny. You are good at these things.

FrannyandGreenychordCarrier · 24/10/2007 21:02
Hmm
TooTicky · 24/10/2007 21:03

Don't you me. I might just you back.

MrsCarrot · 24/10/2007 21:04

Oh. I gassed on for ages, in fact, I was a bit worried I'd said the wrong things when you didn't reply. I really liked the sound and think you're so lucky to have that kind of history in your family. What do your dc's think?

I must resist, must resist, scrabble.

Oh dear, that children who don't read programme is on and one of them calls Benjamin Zepheniah (sp?) a stupid prat

TooTicky · 24/10/2007 21:09

And there was me thinking I'd scared you off Really sorry I didn't get your reply though. Don't suppose you could resend?
Dcs don't know an awful lot about it really. It was just part of life when I was little, going to the odd performance, the excruciating embarrassment at particularly loud or intense bits. Wish he was still around. We used to have fabulous abstract music sessions at his house sometimes. He had some weird and wonderful instruments.

MrsCarrot · 24/10/2007 21:13

It sounds wonderful, Toot! I am so envious, really I am, what an enriching environment that must have been. I didn't save the message, mine don't do it automatically. I will re-lisen and send a new one tomorrow. What if I say something slightly different and then the lost one turns up though?

TooTicky · 24/10/2007 21:14

It will be fine MrsC

Right, off to settle little Tootlets.

Lullabyloo · 24/10/2007 21:21

I have had no supper
But....I've eaten enough fruit to sink a ship....4 figs,punnet of raspberries,quater of a pineapple,a mango,an apple & a plum & I'm still bloomin hungry
I'd better go to bed soon or there will be nothing left for breakfast tomorrow

I have horrid lotion plastered to my head...it smells simply vile...dh is avoiding me

TooTicky · 24/10/2007 22:16

Fruit doesn't quite fill you up, does it LL?
Sorry about the stinky lotion!

Lullabyloo · 24/10/2007 22:20

Hi Toot
