Steve has got much worse since yesterday morning. he was sick six times and he is the same today, he has a lot of swelling around his head and eye
i phoned the docs and got thou to NHS direct.
they asked if steve would go into hospital, had to say no as he wants to stay at home.
just need to get the swelling, pain & sickness sorted out.
the doctor will be here within an hour

Steves top of the range anti sickness tabs are working well, it seems fair to me that he should have top of the range afterall he has top of the range (with go faster stripes) brain tumour

You've got some great friends on here OJ, as I'm sure you know....I don't know you but I feel for what you are going through - it is a tough time for you, Steve and the family....I wish I could help in some small way but I guess just being on the other end of a PC is a help?! You're not on your own. xxxx

onlyjoking9329 · 22/10/2007 23:27

you are right, i do have lots of real life friends so i am very lucky in that respect but they are too close in some respects so i can't let of steam to all of them.
MN is different as nobody knows me IYKWIM

Yea I know what you mean especially with MN - you can remain anonymous which, imo, helps you to say whatever you want without worrying about upsetting/offending anyone.

I've used this site for a couple of years now and I've found it so valuable - I can put a question on here which I wouldn't dare ask a friend about and the majority of the replies that I've had have been a great help.

onlyjoking9329 · 22/10/2007 23:34

yes that is true, thou i have made some friends on here and had a lot of support recently, i only used to go on the SN bit really as i seemed to fit best there

saw the doctor again today for steves weekly review, his bloods are fine but she said there is a problem with his kidneys so he needs to drink more

we were pleased that they didn't dispute the anti sickness meds and we went off to collect another weeks chemo steriods antiBs and anti sickness meds. i have just been sorting all the meds out and noticed that they have only given him the 4mg anti sickness tabs when he has been taking the 8MG, another battle tomorrow then
