I have horrid feet; will have to have a look at this!

BUT will having very soft feet make me even more likely to get blisters? I already suffer badly from blisters, don't want to make it worse.

WigWamBam · 21/10/2004 21:05

It happens with nearly all shoes Coddy I have tried all types of shoes from cheap to v. expensive, all types of materials, fitted and not fitted. Even trainers and pumps cause me to have blisters One was so bad it got infected, which then spread all the way up my leg - caused me to spend the evening in csasualty, ina gony and having to have 2 weeks of work

Hence, I've had so many blisters all over my feet and toes - the skin is horrid and dry and peeled. Yuk!

codswallop · 21/10/2004 21:09

I know sounds gross
found this on a google serach tho

"Urea is an important part of your skin?s natural moisturizing system.

The body uses manufactured urea in the same way as the urea naturally found in the skin. Scientists call it a true ?humectant? because it is an important component of the body?s Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF). Urea causes hard dry skin cells to "unpack" and expose their water binding sites, thus enabling the cell to absorb and retain additional moisture. This action is also known as hydrotopic solubilization and several independent clinical investigations and studies prove that it works.

It?s a little like taking the plastic wrapper off a sponge so it can absorb better!

Unfortunately, urea on its own does not feel like a good moisturizing lotion. It is chemically unstable and actually leaves the skin feeling dry to the touch. "

OP posts:

Wonder who posed for the photos?

jampot · 21/10/2004 21:14

my friend (who hopefully will never find this site) has terrible feet. She is very conscious of them to the extent that she would rather not go swimming etc. She went to a chiropodist once and he told her she had the worst feet he'd ever seen

That beats the hat shop woman telling me I had an odd shaped head when looking for a hat for Ascot!!

emmatmg · 21/10/2004 21:15

Confession time-

I have a horrible disgusting habit of picking the hard dry skin.

I need a miracle to save my feet.

sycophant · 21/10/2004 21:16

For heaven's sake, emmatmg 's got dry feet, her furniture doesn't need polishing

emmatmg · 21/10/2004 21:18

???

Hulababy · 21/10/2004 21:22

??? Confused too!
