tital says it all exdh father of my three dc's had a vasectomy on friday. then sunday stared feeling unwell anyway in a nutshell he is critical with septicemiia, cellulitus, gangrean had his scrotum removed. They are waiting till the morning to do more surgery as very unstable. He's been on a venolator, but off that at the moment. Just in shock.

Oooooh sorry to hear he's had to go through this, my dh had this done two weeks ago now, and thankfully is ok, hope your exdh contniues to improve.

My dh had the snip 4 yeasrs ago and got a localised infection that cleared up with antibiotics.

He said the worst thing about the whole experience was when he got home (the same day) the kids ran up to him 'Daaaaddddyyyy' and when a 1yo adn 3yo do that - guess where they make an impact!!!!???

that was worse than the infection.

My dh is a shameless apologist for vasectomy now though. He's a GP and loads of his patients had one cos he did.

no! infection is fairly rare still, same risk as most nhs operations I guess though....
