I wear thin liners every day as I hate anything other than feeling totally dry down there. Is this normal?
One of my friends says she changes her knickers twice a day for that reason.... What do you do?

There was a massive thread on this a while ago. All women are different. Some don't need any extra protection, others (me included) really need them most of the time sadly, soggy knickers otherwise :(

No but I do tend to change my knickers twice a day usually. Women have natural discharges to keep our vaginas healthy. Nothing to be ashamed of. Wet days / dry days. Men don't get this. They think if we're wet "down there" we're sexually excited! "No, love, you have to do better than that. It's just a wet day."

Wearing a liner doesn't mean people don't accept 'womanhood'. Periods are also part and parcel of being female, is it wrong to use protection then?

I noticed that if I removed my pubes, I needed to wear a panty liner, but if I left them on, I didn't. So I stopped waxing and also stopped having a soggy gusset and frequent bouts of thrush.
