Hello to any new posters. Feel free to join us if you've got any sort of cancer, or if you're waiting to find out if you have it. We are always happy to share our experience and hold hands, and even happier when we get to wave goodbye to people who have had the all clear :) (please do come back and let us know either way - sometimes people just disappear into the sunset, leaving us wondering whether they were OK or not!)

It's helpful if you can post a quick (re)introduction, even if you're a regular on the thread, to save people having to remember or to refer back to previous threads. There's no need to "catch up" - just join in whenever you want to.

Parks and Recreation doesn't seem to be on Netflix at the moment. Pity. I was hoping to watch to see what that Leslie Knopes was like, and see if I could guess why it inspired the name here

Oh Leslie we miss your posts and sage advice already. You have not been far from my thoughts (well for ages now) I hope you are comfortable and being enveloped in a big family type woolly hug right now.

ivampire Leslie in parks was a role model of positivity, enthusiasm, perseverance, inclusivity and friendship- I think our Leslie here is the epitome of all of those things 💕

Leslie is one in a million. No matter how minor the worry, you have been kind and thoughtful.

The Leslie in Parks and Recreation is spot on.

I think of you and your mum ,your dad and your sister every day Leslie .

I hope you are sleeping the time away and that you are comfortable and peaceful .

I need to watch that programme!

Oh that's brilliant TQ! Did she give any indication of how she's feeling? Is she comfortable?

Great News! 2 years ago I had a few health scares which were largly caused by me suffering from HA and IBS(though at the time I was convinced it was something more serious) Leslie took the time to reply to me and even to check back in with me to see how I was..that meant a lot to me and she has stayed in my thoughts since and will continue to do so.

Delurking here to send huge love and gratitude to Leslie and the rest of you who helped and supported me during my diagnosis and treatment last year. Leslie, you are as beautiful a human being as I've ever met (and I do feel as if we met, just not in "real life"). You have given of yourself in the most selfless and generous ways even when you yourself were going through the worst that this disease could throw at you. I wish you peace and comfort, and the knowledge of how well and widely loved you are. xxxx
