Hello to any new posters. Feel free to join us if you've got any sort of cancer, or if you're waiting to find out if you have it. We are always happy to share our experience and hold hands, and even happier when we get to wave goodbye to people who have had the all clear :) (please do come back and let us know either way - sometimes people just disappear into the sunset, leaving us wondering whether they were OK or not!)

It's helpful if you can post a quick (re)introduction, even if you're a regular on the thread, to save people having to remember or to refer back to previous threads. There's no need to "catch up" - just join in whenever you want to.

So is that it for now? Or will you still need regular scans for a while? I'm very jealous of your bubble bath, I have a stoma and kidney nephrostomys so I'm not allowed baths anymore. Although it means I can empty my nephrostomy anywhere so I don't have to keep constantly trying to climb the stairs to have a wee

purple The colorectal nurse said no more treatment but they want to do a CT colonography in the next few weeks as a colonoscopy it not possible.
They will keep an eye on me for 5-6 years.
I’m also on the radar as I have Left Bundle BranchBlock and ask The Endoscopy showed I have Barretts Oesophagus and a Hiatus hernia.

Delurking here to say what an amazing, strong, courageous, inspiring woman Leslie is. I wish her so much love and peace. I've never listened to anyone so wise beyond their years as this remarkable lady. She has made a huge difference to my life and every single person on this site, I read it daily but have never posted until now.

I am an occasional lurker here, since a few years ago when a good friend was going through cancer treatment. I never posted but found these threads so helpful. There were times when I couldn't think of much else but cancer and what was happening with my friend, but there is a limit to how much you can talk about it without sounding as if you are making it 'all about you', and lurking here helped with that as well as with how to give the right kind of support where I could. Sadly my friend passed away a couple of years ago. I still lurk, especially when they are on my mind.

I remember you Leslie, under an earlier name. I'm so sorry to hear how things have progressed and I hope you are still reading and wish you all the love and peace in the world. You are such a special person, you've touched probably thousands of people you don't even know about. You're amazing and have made such an incredible difference to so many. Take care. xxxxxx

I’m finding it moving to see the delurkers, and also the return of those who posted more frequently of yore (when I first came to this thread)

Blue skies here this morning, and I’m off to a local National Trust place for one of their (free) trail running events.

Another long-lost lurker here. Diagnosed with BC in Dec. 2016 (HR+/HER -), found out I was BRCA2 +, lumpectomy, then preventative double mastectomy with DIEP reconstruction in Sept. 2017, then preventative oophorectomy in March 2018, currently in the throes of all the menopausal effects you could think of but thankfully alive & well. I am tempted to say “for now” as the cancer worry beast never really sleeps.

It's so lovely to see and read all the beautiful posts in support of Leslie but she did tell me some time ago that she didn't want the thread to get clogged up with these, and maybe get in the way of those needing support. So we've started a new thread in the traditional style, which is just for those who have cancer or who are having tests for cancer. Lurkers and 'old' posters are welcome to continue posting here.

How very Leslie to be so considerate of others. What a good idea. So many of you fighting battles on this thread, one of whom is my good friend irl.
