Pain in foot (picture)

Hi All,

I hope someone can help.

Between Christmas and new year I started to do some exercise in the form of running and circuit training. This is all very new to me and I've not really exercised for about a year.

On Friday when running, this part of my foot started to hurt. Since then whenever I put any weight on it just to walk it hurts. Any ideas why?

Have I sprained it? Is it just as I'm new to running? And more importantly, how long will it take to fix 😩😩😩😩

I have an old injury very similar, and after doctor telling me it was arthritis had nothing done with it. A chiropractor now tells me I obviously damaged a ligament some years ago.

That doesn't sound good!!

This was my original post about it:

Have seen the chiro since then. They do seem to improve it, but in reality I need to do regular exercises that she tells me will not fix it, but should strengthen it and reduce the pain ... and I am very bad at doing them! Blush

That's actually very similar as when I've walked for a few minutes, the pain subsides.

I'm really hoping I'm not going to have to rest up as I feel like my motivation will disappear. I'm really enjoying exercising and don't want to stop now!

Once I can get mine stretched out and pain goes, I can do anything on it really (although not making any guarantee that I'm not damaging it further, mind LOL).

I just look like an idiot for my first 20 paces or so.

Hi there everyone,

We're going to move this to General Health at OP's request.

MrsSpidey · 15/01/2019 16:49

I think my only worry is that I'm going to make it worse!

Thanks Whitney :)
