My periods have always been okay. Never hurt, bled for 5 days usually until I developed pcos. Period then were wobbly but I was never in pain and it was for 3/5 days. Just not every month
I had ds 10 weeks ago and 2 days ago I came on since the birth.
It's horrific. I'm doubled over, I'm dizzy with it and paracetamol doesn't help me at all.
I wear a super heavy tampon, a pad, two pairs of kickers and I keep bleeding through it when I'm wearing it all at the same time. I've just woke up to find myself feeling soaked and sore and the amount of blood in my bed. I Could cry. I'm getting a doctors appointment first thing today but someone please hold my hand and tell me this can be normal

Hi all, just wanted to update.
My gp was actually my brothers ex girlfriend. He committed suicide a while ago. She remembered me and made sure to look after me.
I've been waiting for a scan for hours. I did a pee sample 2 hours ago, it hasn't even been collected. They have staff and no one is bothering with us. Best of it is. The department is empty. I've complained and asked for tablets. Nothing. Welcome to our really shitty hospital.
I'm tempted to travel 20 miles to the next hospital for some luck. Beyond a joke. I'm walking out. Not seen.

Don't walk out, just wait.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 06/06/2018 14:33

Don't leave. Ask again when your scan will be.

SilverHairedCat · 06/06/2018 14:35

Don't walk out!!

Ask what's going on!

Just because a wait area is empty, doesn't mean there aren't people being treated in other areas - car accidents, heart attacks, etc.

donajimena · 06/06/2018 14:35

Please wait. If you deteriorate you are in the system.

Dinoraw · 06/06/2018 14:35

I have multiple times. They just keep palming me off :( dp has just complained. We are giving it half hour and if no joy we're going to a different hospital. I'm in so much pain an I'm just sat here not being seen by anyone. There's someone inspecting the hospital and they've been talking to her at the desk for an hour and a half. There are more patients now especially one with severe morning sickness, they haven't even bothered with her either. She doesn't even have a sickness bowl :(

Go up to the Inspector and complain they are interfering with patient care.

If you go to another hospital, the wait will just start again....

FrankiesKnuckle · 06/06/2018 14:37

Are you in an emergency department or Gynae department?
It's not clear from your posts.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 06/06/2018 14:37

Going to another hospital probably won't get you seen any quicker, in reality you will be at the back of the queue.

Bowlofbabelfish · 06/06/2018 14:54

Stay. If you leave you’ll be at the back of the queue where you next go.

Get your DP to go up to the desk and ask again. Firm. Polite. Use the words possible obstetric haemorrhage.

TammySwansonTwo · 06/06/2018 15:03

This is horrific. Are you in Wales by any chance?

Are you in A&E or gynae?

Dinoraw · 06/06/2018 15:14

Gyne and epu. Not Wales no. Dp put his foot down for me still waiting but apparently a doctor is coming.

MollyHuaCha · 06/06/2018 15:16

Wanderwall · 06/06/2018 15:21

Stay put. You really need to be seen. Good luck.

SilverHairedCat · 06/06/2018 16:01

Ah, EPU, I misunderstood, sorry. Anyway cross fingers they are getting a kick up the arse now.

BrutusMcDogface · 06/06/2018 18:11

Mamimawr · 06/06/2018 21:15

Have you seen a doctor yet?

MaryPoppinsPenguins · 06/06/2018 21:20

Don’t walk out, you’ll wait even longer.

ApolloandDaphne · 06/06/2018 21:22

Sounds awful. I hope you have been seen now.

sillyoldowl · 06/06/2018 21:38

huha · 06/06/2018 22:31

Hope you've been seen OP

Dinoraw · 07/06/2018 07:33

Hey all, after hours of waiting with two very young cranky babies. I finally got out last night. They couldn't find a cause for pain but said it was most likely all hormonal. I had a speculum thing done, they wouldn't scan my ovaries like the doctor wanted at the GP surgery and sent me off packing with a prescription to ease the blood flow and told me to take ibuprofen.
Thankful it's nothing serious from what they saw, but I'm still having the same problem. Incredible amounts of pain and a lot of bleeding..
They're phoning me in a bit because they think I'm incredibly low on haemoglobin so I'm waiting for blood results to come back.
Thank you all for your replies and comfort xx
