My periods have always been okay. Never hurt, bled for 5 days usually until I developed pcos. Period then were wobbly but I was never in pain and it was for 3/5 days. Just not every month
I had ds 10 weeks ago and 2 days ago I came on since the birth.
It's horrific. I'm doubled over, I'm dizzy with it and paracetamol doesn't help me at all.
I wear a super heavy tampon, a pad, two pairs of kickers and I keep bleeding through it when I'm wearing it all at the same time. I've just woke up to find myself feeling soaked and sore and the amount of blood in my bed. I Could cry. I'm getting a doctors appointment first thing today but someone please hold my hand and tell me this can be normal

Hope you're ok OP

Wanderwall · 06/06/2018 07:31

Please phone an ambulance.

This sounds serious. Someone posted something similar a while ago and it turned out she was hemorrhaging.

I don't want to be alarmist but you must get some help.

Betsy86 · 06/06/2018 07:31

How are u op?x

ScarlettDarling · 06/06/2018 07:33

You poor love, this sounds scary. No, this amount of bleeding isn't just a normal period. As you've just had a baby you need a proper check up. It could be an infection or something else easily dealt with. But you really need to be seen asap. Keep us updated.

CollyWombles · 06/06/2018 07:34

I hope you are being seen to OP. I suffer extremely heavy periods, usually the first two days is the worst, I wake up and as soon as I stand, blood everywhere. Soaking through tampons and pads too. It's horrendous and very scary if your periods weren't like that before childbirth.

There are some conditions that cause a lot of pain and extremely heavy bleeding too. Endometriosis is one.

I used the mirena coil which made my periods disappear entirely, it was bliss. Fingers crossed you are being taken care of.

MrsBobDylan · 06/06/2018 07:36

Call an ambulance op. You need to be checked for an infection and anything left on your cervix.

I had a miscarriage and had symptoms very like you are describing, dizzy, strong contractions minutes apart, very heavy blood loss. Turns out I had some of the pregnancy matter sitting on my cervix. As you've recently given birth it could be a similar thing.

It was quick to sort once they found the problem.

MrsDilber · 06/06/2018 07:49

I hope she's gone to a&e and will come back and tell us how she got on. That obviously wasn't right.

Good luck op 💐

Stormwhale · 06/06/2018 07:53

I hope you are well on your way to hospital op. Good luck.

Bowlofbabelfish · 06/06/2018 07:57

Please go to hospital immediately

Call an ambulance if you have to (and I never say that.) make sure you tell them you’ve recently given birth, you’re in extreme pain and tell them the heaviness of the bleeding.
Don’t be alone - Make sure someone is with you.
Hope you’re Ok.

TheHobbitMum · 06/06/2018 08:02

Hope you are.being seen. OP Flowers

Mooey89 · 06/06/2018 08:57

There was a poster a few months back who had this and it was very serious, she nearly died I think.

I hope you are being seen now.

SilverHairedCat · 06/06/2018 09:19

Hope you're at hospital and being seen to!

ItsAHardKn0ckLife1 · 06/06/2018 10:23

Hope you are okay OP Flowers

Wanderwall · 06/06/2018 10:42

Actually quite shocked 101 didn't take this more seriously.

Wanderwall · 06/06/2018 10:43

I mean 111!

MadeForThis · 06/06/2018 10:49

Hope you're ok. I had extremely heavy bleeding after a emcs in December. Ended up in a and e 3 times. Blue lighted the last time.
They fitted a coil and have had no problems since.
Our bodies can go a bit weird after birth apparently.

Bluntness100 · 06/06/2018 10:50

Please don't overly worry and yes please go get it checked.

I heamorraged at home after the birth . When heamoragging it's generally clots as heavy bleeding clots in a healthy person. Mine were the size of tennis balls if it helps put it into perspective.

If you're ten weeks post partum it could indeed just be a very heavy period. Go to hospital and have it checked out but don't worry yourself silly, it won't help.💐

OurMiracle1106 · 06/06/2018 10:58

My endometriosis causes similar however if you haven’t had this before as you haven’t please please get yourself to a doctor ASAP in case you are haemorrhaging or there’s complications.

💐

Hi all.
Ambulance would've been hours sadly. So I had a little sleep and waited for the doctors. They had me in immediately. The doctor was lovely and shocked by 101. Felt my tummy and she's concerned about the pain. Booked in straight away in gynecology for a scan. Either hormones or something is left behind from the pregnancy they think. I'm really scared.

Dinoraw · 06/06/2018 11:02

The only plus side is instead of waiting hours for A&E to see me. My scan is within the hour. A lot of accident and emergencies have closed near me. It's really difficult to be seen now.

Gretol · 06/06/2018 11:05

I had similar and I had retained placenta. I had an 'abortion' type operation. YOu have done the right thing, if I hadn't gone in I could have bled to death Sad

Quartz2208 · 06/06/2018 11:08

Good luck it does sound like it
Could be retained placenta

smileyhappypeople · 06/06/2018 11:28

It does sound serious but just to give you a good story.... I had this about 3/4 times as a teenager and then never had it again. Only went to a&e once and they just gave me strong pain killers, no tests or anything and I've been fine since so could just be a one off, fingers crossed!

OuaisMaisBon · 06/06/2018 11:32

Thank goodness you have a good GP, I hope they find something relatively simple to remedy on the scan and that you are feeling better very soon, OP.

Opheliasgoldenwine · 06/06/2018 14:11

I hope you're feeling a bit better now OP. Hugs for you Thanks
