Please tell me it gets easier to get the thing out? I feel like I've just been on a fishing expedition, and mine was the one that very nearly got away

I will persist and I'm sure I'll get there in the end. I get frustrated if I can't master something new immediately! Will try cutting the stem off and wearing it lower (was avoiding this previously due to aforementioned mystery leak).

Thanks again Franny, and thanks for the great service! You really should get paid - I'm sure it's not an easy job sorting out all these orders/payments/parcels!

Now I seem to have mastered the technique, I have to say, I am really impressed - this is just soooo much more comfortable than tampons or pads, and, joy, I didn't have to change the sheets on the bed this morning 'cos I had no night time leaks . Thanks F&Z!

Oh I am so glad people are finding them useful.

Mawbroon, I think that is kind of the method I use as well.

Tid, you are welcome, and I hope you have better luck next month

Boco · 30/05/2007 11:46

OOh my mooncup arrived just in time and can start straight away. Using it for the first time today - goign in is fine, but out! Its scary. It's so wide, was worried i might have to call the firebrigade for a moment then.

Franny, I followed your advice this month and I'm pleased to say it was leak-free (bet you're glad you know so much about mumsnetters menstrual flows and nether regions aren't you? )

It seems I was putting up too high. This month I put it just a bit higher than the entrance (past the point where you can feel it's going to drop out) and that seems to have done the trick. So I finally can say, after 6 months, that I've got the hang of it at last!

Does anyone find that wearing a mooncup affects the amount you go to the loo for a wee?

I'm sure mine presses on my bladder when I sit down or something? (But then I think this happened with tampons too, so maybe I am just a bit 'crowded up' down there

ZisforZebra · 30/05/2007 22:11

Legacy - Haven't read the rest of the thread but yes, I wee far more when i'm using the mooncup compared to the rest of the month. Still love my mooncup though!
