Highly contagious

Off sick, been to dr now waiting to find out if I have highly contagious illness. DSC was dropped off with us this morning. I have had to spend the day avoiding them - As they aren't immune, DH is. DH needs to go out tonight, leaving me to feed DC and put them to bed. AIBU to ask them to go back to their mums until I know? We are always flexible when she needs help etc.

Go to bed, leave your DH to it.

Bumpitybumper I didn't say she should have to be stuck reality is the SDC mum won't collect the child. The DH thinks it's fine to leave her looking after them as normal. OP is clearly not well enough to put the child in the car and drive them back to the mum's (or any other means of transport) and I highly doubt OP has the energy to battle it out with her DH to get him to take the child home to their mum's. Therefore stuck.

If your period isn't due until next week then you kind of aren't pregnant. A theoretical fertilised egg would barely have implanted and therefore wouldn't be at risk from antibiotics, surely?

So I'm surprised that your doctor is treating you as, essentially, "pre-pregnant" - something which could apply to a lot of sexually active women of childbearing age.

TTC namechanger Ah sorry, I see what you meant now Blush

Hope you're ok OP!

Their mother is being an absolute shit - of COURSE they should go back to her under the circumstances.

Seeline · 14/04/2018 10:30

I had whooping cough when Pg. Doctor gave me ABs without hesitation.

Or maybe she's just fed up of her ex thinking he can default to her rather than change any of his plans, or organise childcare himself?

@willynillypie bit better today thankfully !

But what did you say to your husband?

Everyotherweekend · 15/04/2018 22:36

I wasn't in a fit state to argue, he went out I watched DSC from afar. DH made them supper, left them with strict instructions - watch your movie then straight to bed. They left late afternoon, about an argument about wanting to take them bowling !
