To visit the walk in centre?

Sienna333 · 02/12/2017 08:55

The top of my bumcrack has a small white/flesh coloured spot on it and although it looks insignificant, it is stinging like mad and I can barely sit. AIBU to go to the walk in centre? I can't take a minute more of this and what's worse is that I am on my period :(

I could kick myself for having shared my experiences back at the start of the thread because tbh I now feel like I've been taken in by someone who is on the wind up.

I've got to learn to stop falling for this sort of stuff and just stick to threads about funny things cats do and stuff like that.

UrsulaPandress · 22/12/2017 19:07

You have no pain?

Sienna333 · 22/12/2017 19:07

Henry, Are you passing blood and mucus?
If anyone else posted my symptoms, You would all be worried for them and suggest conditions like Crohns and IBD.

OP posts:
Sienna333 · 22/12/2017 19:11

No Ursula but that isn't uncommon in mild cases of an inflammatory disease. As I said, someone did tell me that I would not have got better on my own when I first got ill without meds but I have heard different and that symptoms can come and go in the early stages.
I am not trying to wind anyone up, I am just terrified and trying not to delude myself that I don't have an inflammatory disease.

lookingforthecorkscrew · 22/12/2017 19:11

I had to stop commenting on this thread for a while because I have HA (and start therapy for it in the new year) AND IBD and it was triggering all sorts of unhealthy feelings. Having caught up with the OP’s posts even I can see the direct and obvious correlation between their symptoms and their anxiety. And tbh I feel like this thread is probably an unhealthy place for them to be right now, as they’re just using it to convince themself that they have a chronic illness.

SunnySkiesSleepsintheMorning · 22/12/2017 19:18

Do you have a “mild case” or are you “very physically ill”?

Wolfiefan · 22/12/2017 19:27

You possibly have a mild case of something inflammatory.
You CERTAINLY have severe health anxiety.
Deal with the severe.

Nikephorus · 22/12/2017 19:29

So is a "small white / flesh-coloured spot" on your bumcrack usually a sign of Crohns etc? Only that's what you started this thread with. It's surprising that it's so quickly developed into something practically life-threatening. Hmm
You had diarrhoea before - probably from a simple bug because something was going around at the time and several mumsnetters had it. You made it worse by convincing yourself you were dying. The stress made it worse still. You keep being stressed so your guts don't have a chance to recover. The diarrhoea returns because you won't sort out your anxiety. All the time spent on the toilet irritates your insides so they bleed. Because your guts aren't happy and you're not eating properly you're passing mucus (my dog does the same when she has an upset stomach - she also stinks to high heaven, it's like being attacked by mustard gas).
You don't have Crohns or anything else. You had a stomach bug. You have anxiety. Your body reacts the exact same way that everyone else's does. But you won't sort it out so you keep suffering. Eventually your daughter will start suffering from anxiety too because it gets passed on. Then she'll be ill too. Then you can spend time in the doctor's waiting room comparing symptoms and seeing who can outdo who.

Sienna333 · 22/12/2017 19:33

I know I have an inflammatory disease, it may or may not be mild but I definitely have Crohns/IBD. All the symptoms except from pain.

OP posts:
obviouslymarvellous · 22/12/2017 19:35

As someone who had health anxiety I've never seen such a blatant disregard for help or advice ever! You need a bloody good shake. So irritating and frustrating to read - there are people out there with all sorts of life limiting illnesses are here you are writing yourself off. Calm yourself down and seek help for your anxiety and step away from Dr Google.

needtogiveitablow · 22/12/2017 19:41

I thought you definitely had UC? Now you definitely have one of two different conditions? Please stop ignoring the advice given, you posted asking a question that was quickly answered, now this has turned into something so dramatic that you are not going to get any other helpful advice than what has already been given - go see a dr and explain what is going on in your head, you will do far more for your bowel problems by doing that than a colonoscopy will

Nikephorus · 22/12/2017 19:41

Do you have mouth ulcers? Apparently they're a sign of IBD. How about eye inflammation or joint inflammation? Can also occur.
Still, on the upside, Steve Redgrave has ulcerative colitis and he got gold medals in the Olympics. Which event will you be going for? (Google is great isn't it!)

Haudyerwheesht · 22/12/2017 19:43

I predict she'll have mouth ulcers and joint inflammation by tomorrow

DottyS · 22/12/2017 19:44

Sienna333 may I just ask where you got your medical degree?

Sienna333 · 22/12/2017 19:47

I don't have any of that Nike but I do have urgency and diarrhoea mixed with blood which is not normal.

I really do think I have an inflammatory disease, even if it is mild. I also strongly believe that the incident back in October WAS the start of it. Maybe I am in the minority in that I was able to recover for a few weeks but what I have now is similar to what I had back then. Urgency, diarrhoea, and foul, foul, smelling gas. Only difference this time is I don't have the stomach cramps I had for a week before the diarrhoea kicked in last time. It is the same thing.

OP posts:
Sienna333 · 22/12/2017 19:49

But Dotty, logically, what else could it be? I have the main symptom, diarrhoea mixed with blood and urgency. Ok, I don't have pain in any form or mouth ulcers but I can't see what else is going on.

Unnoticed · 22/12/2017 19:49

I will say it again:

You've been offered so much support and advice on this thread - have you read any of it?

Bumdishcloths · 22/12/2017 19:49

Shitting yourself once regardless of other symptoms) does not a case of ulcerative colitis make.

I shat myself walking to the garage once. Shall I get tested for colitis?? Hmm

Aridane · 22/12/2017 19:51

Oh, Sienna, Sienna, Sienna - you, have posted thread after thread on this - basically, when a thread dies, you start another. And in one thread you indicated you were also posting on health issues in another forum. The. You appearered to have a bit more insight into your debilitating health anxiety. You also listed the ailments you thought you might have as follows

  1. Bowel cancer
  2. Anal cancer
  3. Ischemic coltis
  4. Diverticulitis
  5. UC
  6. Chrones
  7. Pancreatic cancer
  8. Ovarian cancer
  9. MS
10. Overactive thyroid 11. Severe case of IBS 12. Severe food intolerance

Do you want to be I’ll so you can say, see, I told you?

crazycatgal · 22/12/2017 19:52

Why do you keep posting on here about how ill you think you are? If you actually thought that then you would keep speaking to your GP not unqualified strangers online. It sounds like you want the attention tbh.

kaytee87 · 22/12/2017 19:54

I've had diarreah with bleeding recently and it's because I had constipation for weeks due to taking strong pain killers, think I tore myself slightly going. Now I'm off the painkillers I now have diarrhoea and bleeding.
I'm sorry for tmi folks I'm just pointing out that there are many non sinister reasons for bloody diarrhoea.

Kittykat93 · 22/12/2017 19:54

Sorry I do feel sympathy as you are clearly very mentally unwell but for gods sake please get help for the sake of your daughter. My mum was diagnosed with a terminal illness when I was young and I never knew a thing about it until I was a teenager, as she wanted to protect me. You almost seem to like the thought of being ill and telling your daughter? It's all a bit weird.

DottyS · 22/12/2017 19:55

Logically it's in your head and you need help for your health anxiety - nothing else

Sienna333 · 22/12/2017 19:55

As I said, anyone else who posted would be told it sounds like they have an inflammatory disease.

Bumdishcloths but you don't have vile smelling gas and diarrhoea mixed with blood? I was like this last time back in October, Same urgency and symptoms all except the tugging stomach pain I had last time. I don't know why I was able to recover last time but I must just have it mild.

OP posts:
Sienna333 · 22/12/2017 19:57

Crazycatgal, I am waiting on blood tests/another stool sample. I can't do anything more and I am terrified of all this. I am certainly not enjoying it. I want to be able to enjoy Christmas food and activities with my daughter rather then rushing to the loo all the time. Knowing I will be like this on Christmas day makes me feel so crap.
