To visit the walk in centre?

Sienna333 · 02/12/2017 08:55

The top of my bumcrack has a small white/flesh coloured spot on it and although it looks insignificant, it is stinging like mad and I can barely sit. AIBU to go to the walk in centre? I can't take a minute more of this and what's worse is that I am on my period :(

I have UC + ileostomy. Before I was diagnosed I spent all my time reading up on Dr Google the symptons fitted and I was praying/hoping that I didn't have UC. "No, it can't possibly be that it must be something else".

What I will say though, at no point did it ever get better without any form of medication. Before symptoms first starting and getting diagnosed it just got worse and worse.

It could be something like coeliac causing those symptoms.

k2p2k2tog · 22/12/2017 12:15

Why is everyone continuing to engage with this person?

Pages and pages from posters reassuring OP. Posters who are medical professionals or have the condition she believes she has reassuring her and encouraging her to tackle the root of all this. People who have, or have had serious health anxiery in the past who have shared their experiences and urging her to get help for her mental health.

All ignored. OP - despite her protestations to the contrary - is thriving on the adrenaline and attention she's getting, both here and from medical professionals dealing with her "serious illness". OP doesn't want reassurance. She doesn't want people to keep telling her that she needs to sort her mental health out pronto. She wants people to catastophise along with her and suggest funeral songs.

teaiseverything · 22/12/2017 12:18

Agreed k2p2k2tog.

I'm out.

yippyyappy · 22/12/2017 12:32

I dont say this to be horrible op but things don't seem to be sinking in. You are very possibly ruining your daughters life and changing who she is and how she'll function forever.

I also now think you Have Munchausen Syndrome not health anxiety.

Stop putting yourself first, be a parent and see a doctor about your mental health TODAY. NOW.

I'm out too.

SnowFairyDust · 22/12/2017 13:06

Oh OP, it's like you actually want to be ill. Only a few weeks ago you were 'certain you were going to come back and tell us you had anal cancer' you haven't and I fear your inflammatory disease will have the same outcome.

I have said it about 5 times on this thread already but the problem here it your mental health, once you get help with that, I'm pretty sure that you'll be coming back here and telling us all is resolved.

Haudyerwheesht · 22/12/2017 13:16

You know what amazes me throughout all this? I have health anxiety and actually many of your physical symptoms too. My main concern most of the time? How will it impact my kids.

You only ever mention your daughter when someone else does. I find that pretty disturbing.

thelastredwinegum · 22/12/2017 13:50

yippy I also now think you Have Munchausen Syndrome not health anxiety.

I just came back to say this.

FreeNiki · 22/12/2017 14:26

I wonder if this is all caused by laxative abuse.

Typical of those who want to be ill.

You get caught it impacts on your life forever

FreeNiki · 22/12/2017 14:36

Laxative abuse is the easiest way to get ill very quickly and get bad symtpoms.

Common among munchausens syndrome

Candlelight234 · 22/12/2017 14:49

From experience when they test for ibd they also do a laxative screen on the sample too for this reason. I remember it offended me deeply when they told me this!

@Candlelight234 I’m shocked they do a check! Must be a fairly common thing, that’s mad!

dontbesillyhenry · 22/12/2017 18:25

No word of a lie I just wiped my bum and there was blood. Wait for me let's book a double plot!

SunnySkiesSleepsintheMorning · 22/12/2017 18:38

You have seriously selective reading Sienna Hmm I clearly said that it was inappropriate to label yourself as “very” physically unwell. Has any doctor said you are very ill? Very ill people get urgent referrals and tests more serious than bloods and stool tests.

There are lots of things that can cause your symptoms. You have decided it’s UC. You decided that ages ago. Even if it was UC, the way you are behaving about it is completely over the top and disproportionate to the level of symptoms you are experiencing.

If you cared about your daughter, you’d seek proper help. She will be affected by this.

Sienna333 · 22/12/2017 18:41

It's getting worse for me, urgency and needing to rush to the toilet. Didn't make it earlier but thankfully am at home :( I am gearing myself up now for a UC diagnosis. I hope the meds they give me stop the urgency. I read stories about people with UC who live their lives not able to go out or not be too far from a toilet. That terrifies me.

OP posts:
Wolfiefan · 22/12/2017 18:43

Stop reading those stories and seek help for your severe anxiety.

Unnoticed · 22/12/2017 18:44

You've been offered so much support and advice on this thread - have you read any of it?

Sienna333 · 22/12/2017 18:44

The only reason I am not being referred urgently is because I am not in pain. Once the stool tests/blood results come back I will be referred.
I do love my daughter, she is my world and I don't need to explain that to anyone. I haven't told her I have a chronic illness but get very upset at the thought of it.

OP posts:
Pandoraphile · 22/12/2017 18:49

Small issue here for you - you don't actually have a chronic illness.....There. That should sort the problem with what to tell your daughter.

kaytee87 · 22/12/2017 18:52

Op I thought you had already had stool tests?

You know that you have severe health related anxiety. Can you not see that logically this must be affecting your thinking regarding this?

Tink2007 · 22/12/2017 18:52

I have read through all this thread without comment but WHY THE FUCK would you tell your daughter you have a chronic illness when you have not been diagnosed with anything?!?!

kaytee87 · 22/12/2017 18:54

The only reason I am not being referred urgently is because I am not in pain*

Is that what the doctor actually said to you?

Sienna333 · 22/12/2017 18:59

No Kaytee but I am sure if I was presenting with blood stained poo, diarrhoea and pain they would be a lot more concerned. I don't have any pain but all the other symptoms are the same as UC. I know we talked about the stool sample earlier. I got one tested back in October but think it only ruled out bacteria and parasites. I know you said your one covers inflammation as well but I am not sure mine did. I heard you need a separate stool sample for that.
Pandraphile, You don't know that, it is clear something chronic is going on.

I haven't told DD anything. Just worried about how I am going to tell her.

OP posts:
dontbesillyhenry · 22/12/2017 18:59

This is actually laughable now.
It's like some god awful sitcom character

dontbesillyhenry · 22/12/2017 19:02

I've got terrible urgency and cramps right now. I'm also on the ceiling stressed and it 100% correlates. The tests I was refered for told me THERE IS NOTHING PHYSICALLY WRONG
