To visit the walk in centre?

Sienna333 · 02/12/2017 08:55

The top of my bumcrack has a small white/flesh coloured spot on it and although it looks insignificant, it is stinging like mad and I can barely sit. AIBU to go to the walk in centre? I can't take a minute more of this and what's worse is that I am on my period :(

I wouldn't even bother with the doctors as you know what's wrong with you

tampinfuminragin · 18/12/2017 23:07

Have you sought out any help for your anxiety? I think CBT and medication would be very beneficial for you.

Poisongirl81 · 18/12/2017 23:09

The OP is not reading or listening to advice. There's no point replying.

Sienna333 · 18/12/2017 23:10

I won't reply to abusive posts, no.

OP posts:
sillysausage16 · 18/12/2017 23:10

Save your breath she only wants you to agree with her that she's seriously ill

PinkyBlunder · 18/12/2017 23:13

Oh for the love of god not again....

This has just GOT to be a trolling of the highest order because it’s insulting to anyone that has genuinely been seriously ill.

OP also had chrons/IBD/bowel cancer/rectal cancer/UC in the summer. She reported that she’s seen HCPs and what they said (stomach bug/piles etc etc) and according to her they are wrong. Same as this time.

And here we go again....

I get the mental health aspect have a few of those issues myself but there is zero sympathy left for this as it just smacks of cheeky fucker trollery.

OP anytime you fancy a visit to a gastro or colorectal surgical ward to see what these conditions and illness really look like, let me know. I work with these people every day and you’ll have the shock of your life my love.

SunnySkiesSleepsintheMorning · 18/12/2017 23:14

The use of your language e.g. “flare up”is very reflective of someone who has spent far too much time googling. You would be quite unwell with UC. The stool sample would have shown blood and you’d also have more symptoms than smelly farts.

SunnySkiesSleepsintheMorning · 18/12/2017 23:15

Oh and if you had untreated IBD, it wouldn’t flare up or flare down, you’d be ill all the bloody time.

Sienna333 · 18/12/2017 23:22

I don't mean to insult people who genuinely have these illnesses. I am just terrified I have it after what happened back in October. I do think now that it was my first flare of it. I know people have said I wouldn't have got better after 3 weeks but I don't understand why some of these symptoms I had have come back. I had the acid reflux the week after my illness with the vile gas but this time it seems worse. I know people experience UC in different ways, some very severe, others mild.

I am not a troll, I promise you that. Just someone who is terrified of what is going on in their own body. I know I need proper help for the health anxiety but I do genuinely believe I am physically ill. I know I must come across as weird and pathetic. I am just scared of what is going on and every time I see blood it terrifies me.

OP posts:
shorty6768 · 18/12/2017 23:23

Op people are responding because they care. The way you’re reacting to a minor incident (blood, mucous & smelly farts) - it’s not normal. Most people would get it checked out at the doctors & then resume their day knowing it’s more than likely internal piles. Why do you want to be ill OP? Do you want sympathy from people? Some sort of validation? Do you want to be a martyr? Or are you looking for a distraction from mundane everyday life? This needs to be looked at OP. I hope you do.

PinkyBlunder · 18/12/2017 23:26

Then deal with it with your HCP. All of it. Physical and mental.

The more you go on, the less validation you’re going to get.

Deal with it.

PinkyBlunder · 18/12/2017 23:34

Just an aside before I hide this rediculousness....

As a person that knows a bit about the illnesses you’re going on about, the ‘facts’ you keep spouting are wrong.

Dr Google has fed you a load of shit.

Pun intended. You’re welcome.

crazycatgal · 18/12/2017 23:42

You are insulting people though - you spouting on that you've got bowel cancer/chrons/whichever illness you've googled this week is ridiculous.

You've been told several times to see the Dr about your mental heath yet you refuse to. Is this because you like the attention that all of this brings?

I have anxiety (not health anxiety though) and I've had to suck it up and get help because I have an illness. Thoughts caused by my illness are not rational and neither are yours.

KiaOraAura · 18/12/2017 23:47

I'm not sure that anyone engaging with you on this thread - other than to say go back to the GP to get some support for your health anxiety - will be helpful. No-one on here will be able to offer you enough reassurance to convince you you dont have cancer , Crohns or something similar. However many times people say it, you arent able to hear it. You saying over and over again that everyone is wrong and you ARE seriously ill doesnt help you either. You need to go back to the GP and tell them you have severe health anxiety. Nothing else will make any difference, and especially not posting on here.

Sienna333 · 18/12/2017 23:50

If I didn't genuinely believe I have UC, I wouldn't be posting trust me. I just feel that a lot of the symptoms match up to what I have. I know people say it doesn't help and only fuels my anxiety but really, if I am wrong, put me right. Tell me about UC.
If I am uneducated and wrong I need to be put right.

OP posts:
Ollivander84 · 18/12/2017 23:51

Even if someone could say 100% you don't have anything wrong, you wouldn't believe them because that's what health anxiety does. I have been there
I've also been seriously ill since and had emergency spinal surgery and was the calmest I have ever been because I have NO health anxiety now
You need urgent mental health help

KiaOraAura · 18/12/2017 23:53

Again: you need to go back to the GP and tell them you have severe health anxiety.

BoeandBall · 18/12/2017 23:59

My acid reflux is so bad I wake up in the middle of the night choking. I have diarrhoea often, most likely IBS. And yes I get hemorrhoids and that makes my bum sore and bleed, all these things are similar to your problems. But I don't think I have some sort of disease. I drink lemon juice if I experience reflux, I eat more carefully and take diarrhoea tablets if I have a bout of diarrhoea, and I put hemorrhoid cream on my bum if it's sore. You're not helping yourself by thinking you're so ill, why don't you just try some remedies instead of running to the doctor every time the smallest thing is wrong or coming on Mumsnet to tell everyone you have a terrible disease?

myrtleWilson · 19/12/2017 00:03

you say you need to be put right if you're uneducated but your past threads (and indeed this one) show you have no interest in listening to anyone who offers a constructive suggestion. I've posted on this and your previous threads and I have experience of health anxiety so I have tried to understand where you are coming from.

However, I've also lost a very close relative far too young from bowel cancer and frankly - and I'll be flamed for this - your "woe is me...I told you all I was ill" posts are really annoying me now - you almost sound as if you want to be seriously ill to prove others (and by that I mean random strangers on the internet) wrong. I wouldn't wish what my relative went through on anyone. Get some help for your anxiety and if you think you've been misdiagnosed then go back to the GP, get a second opinion, a third - whatever. If you really really believe you're as ill as you make out - you would be forced into being more proactive.

as I said - I know I'll be flamed for being harsh and I do have anxiety so I really try to understand your position but in my opinion you're now on the verge of mocking those with serious illnesses.

dontbesillyhenry · 19/12/2017 00:05

But people have said it's not UC and why they think that yet you ramble on that you are CERTAIN these minor and very common ailments you are mentioning means you simply MUST have it and we are all wrong

SunnySkiesSleepsintheMorning · 19/12/2017 00:08

On the other thread, you were told that you wouldn’t “flare up and down” in the absence of medication which you seemed to accept but you have not recalled on this thread.

On a thread a few weeks ago, you also listed that you believed you had;

  1. Bowel cancer
  2. Anal cancer
  3. Ischemic coltis
  4. Diverticulitis
  5. UC
  6. Chrones
  7. Pancreatic cancer
  8. Ovarian cancer
  9. MS
10. Overactive thyroid 11. Severe case of IBS 12. Severe food intolerance
Sienna333 · 19/12/2017 00:12

I know it sounds crazy written down like that :(
Someone did say I wouldn't have got better for 3 weeks if I did have an inflammatory disease but I have since heard different. I know people say it won't help but it really would help if I could speak to someone who has an inflammatory disease.

OP posts:
Pinkbedsheets · 19/12/2017 00:13

I really sympathize with you OP, as I struggle with health anxiety myself. It’s hard and you genuinely do believe you have something wrong with you. Please look into therapy, I haven’t yet had the courage but please do.

BabyOrSanta · 19/12/2017 00:15

It does look crazy written down like that
Because it is crazy
You need to talk to the GP about your Health anxiety then it won't look like the boy who cried wolf if you, heaven forbid, do get a serious illness in the future

myrtleWilson · 19/12/2017 00:18

why would it help if you could speak with someone who has an inflammatory disease - where would you be at the end of that conversation as opposed to where you are now?

  • better informed? No - just one persons view (and if that one person is a random internet-er then you can downgrade the validity of that view (sorry folks!))
  • diagnosed - No - you'll still need to go through medical routes
  • reassured - No, if they say they have the same symptoms, you'll be "see I told you so" if they don't have the same symptoms, you'll be "I've got a more mysterious illness (like your previous thread).

Seriously - there is nothing that speaking to someone with inflammatory disease that can help you. You need to go back to the GP about your symptoms and for the love of God mention your anxiety.
