To visit the walk in centre?

The top of my bumcrack has a small white/flesh coloured spot on it and although it looks insignificant, it is stinging like mad and I can barely sit. AIBU to go to the walk in centre? I can't take a minute more of this and what's worse is that I am on my period :(

But without weight loss and multiple episodes of diarrhoea, it's not UC/Crohns.

Honestly, you are determined to see evidence of illness, even when it isn't there. When you hear hoof beats, don't look for unicorns.

Candlelight234 · 18/12/2017 22:22

Have you had blood tests and stool samples already?

Sienna333 · 18/12/2017 22:27

Stool sample but that wouldn't show up UC.

Christmasrage, Not necessarily. It would be rare perhaps but I am thinking that what I thought I had back in October (Stomach cramps, diarrhoea which was bloody for a few days but then turned to normal colour) was actually not food poisoning but my first flare up. I got better after 3 weeks but after that my stomach started playing up again.
I recognise the smell from last time and the way it started (Vile, vile gas) is what I am like now so it seems it wasn't just a bug.

MelIAm, keep me updated? I did a stool sample but I believe the standard one only rules out infection and bacteria and does not test for inflammation.

As usual, only addressing those who are indulging you.

Sienna333 · 18/12/2017 22:32

I won't respond to your rude, unnecessary previous post no.

OP posts:
sillysausage16 · 18/12/2017 22:33

I was just about to say that. You literally only respond to people who say what you want to hear

Bumdishcloths · 18/12/2017 22:34

Not unnecessary though is it? All you're doing is seeking validation from non medical professionals, how is that helping you??

I just thought sharing my symptoms may help to calm OP down a little.

I'm fully expecting a bit of IBS for a while because I've had a rough time.

dontbesillyhenry · 18/12/2017 22:45

Most people suffering from IBD get so ill they end up hospitalised prior to diagnosing not farting a bit of mucous ffs

Bumdishcloths · 18/12/2017 22:47

@MeIAm I completely understand why you were sharing symptoms, I really do, but the OP is so irrational it doesn't help. She needs psychiatric assistance above all else.

MeIAm · 18/12/2017 22:49

bum yeah I've just read Crohns thread!

Mel, you don't have to explain yourself to them.

I am glad you all find bleeding so hilarious. I don't have piles anymore so the
bleeding would not be caused by that nor would it explain the vile, constant gas.
No idea why some of you post when you say you don't care. I have reported all abusive posts. Happy to take on any negative feedback if worded civil but I won't be spoken to the way some of you have spoken to me.

dontbesillyhenry · 18/12/2017 22:51

Sienna in all fairness it's not us you should be talking to. You really need to see someone else here and stop with the 'see I'm seriously ill' nonsense

I know someone with ulcerative colitis. You would know if you had it, it is a severe and debilitating illness that requires strong medication to be able to function.

Please stop wasting nhs time and money with your neuroticism.

dontbesillyhenry · 18/12/2017 22:52

Trust me my son when he was suffering a dairy allergy had all those symptoms, a common sense approach was used I didn't run down the hospital insisting he was seriously ill

I am saying this to attempt to be helpful and I don't want to fuel any health anxiety. You could ask for a a stool sample which shows fecal calprotectin, it will show if there is inflammation at a level which could indicate normal, or at lower levels ibs or in the range for ibd.

dontbesillyhenry · 18/12/2017 22:56

Lake please you are really making me Grin

Sienna333 · 18/12/2017 23:00

Mspotatohead but it starts off mild I heard.

Yes Candlelight, As far as I know I was not tested for inflammation last time so that's why it came back normal. All it showed was that there was no infection.
