frequent stomach ache high up centre under ribs?

SO since dx with coeliac disease I've gone on to get loads of allergies.

Anyway, also since then I keep getting tummy ache. the epicentre of the pain is very high up dead centre right under the ribs. Sometimes it lasts even a couple of days.

I had salad for lunch and about 6 pm I started with this tummy ache and it is so incredibly uncomfortable. Is this likely to be a body part which is not right, or an allergy?

I get this also occasionally if I drink some wine, but not all, and it seems to be totally random.

I have spoken to both my GP and an Internist and they don't seem to have any explanation. It really hurts right now. So I haven't had any dinner cos it started hurting and so I don't feel like eating at all

Sounds very much like gastritis / too much acid in your stomach. I have Antacids for this. Gaviscon also helps. Does tend to be worse when your stomach is empty though, so best try and eat something, plain Carbs and milk work for me.

Sounds similar to the gall bladder pain I used to have.

I have this and got a recent diagnosis of acute IBS

Gastritis is left. Hiatus hernia central. Gallbladder right. (I'm someone with all 3 issues)

All three are triggered by fat and alcohol
Onions and garlic and tomatoes and acid in general upsets gastritis

Try gaviscon if that doesn't help it's your gallbladder

I have similar symptoms and it's too much acid in my stomach. I take 20mg of omeprazol daily. I avoid coffee, fizzy drinks, wheat products, though you probably already do that one. I would also recommend milk to line the stomach, I've just had cornflakes for tea!

I have centre stomach pain which radiates to the left under my ribs and vomit to get relief I had a bariatric meal and swallow test last week and will hopefully get results on thursday GP thinks IBS and now a stomach ulcer Wheat and dairy are a
no go foods. I had scans etc for gallbladder but they were negative as was a test for ceoliac disease.
Could you keep a daily food diary and include bowel movements it is what the surgeon wanted from me and as I had it already done it meant I did not have to wait and or go back on foods for the test.

I haven't drunk any alcohol. All I ate today is salad with oil and vinegar dressing, avocado, tomatoes and tahini.

I'm allergic to nuts. Wondering if it turns out I can't eat sesame either?

Is that meal fatty enough to count?

I don't feel at all heartburn/acidic. Just really quite painful deep aching but high up.

Long term drinking milk will make gastritis worse.

Avocado and oil would set my gallbladder of a treat

Vinegar and tomatoes would set the gastritis off

If it's radiating down your back then it could well be.gallstones. people think an attack is always triggered by fatty foods - it isnt, things like broccoli, onions, spicy food etc can all trigger an attack.

The fact it's getting worse again makes me think gallbladder. I take it you've tried belching and farming to try and shift it?

Can I recommend some strong painkillers now as if it's still getting worse it may become unbearable - if it does go to hospital

I've had both gastritis and gallstones and it sounds more like gastritis to me. I got lansoprazole from the Dr and that sorted it all out. It was very painful and just where you describe, central and quite high up.

Gallstones were the most horrific pain I have ever felt, worse than childbirth. It was lower but radiated into my chest and back, I couldn't breathe with the pain when I was having my worst attacks.

I don't feel windy so no urge to belch or anything else. It's not radiating down my back. it's just painful at the front

See that's where my gallstones strike. Up and under the ribcage? I don't get it radiating into my back or shoulder just feel extremely winded and it slowly cranks up in intensity over a few hours.

I think it's safe to say don't be guided by randoms on the Internet for health advice

It sounds really nasty whatever it is OP, so you should def see someone medical.

I know, but I was wondering what body part it might be. general consensus is gall bladder.

Couple of weeks ago doctor suggested I do ketogenic diet which is low carb high fat. supposed to do it 3 or 4 weeks then 2 month normal eating then begin again. So maybe it doesn't agree with me.

Rapid weightloss can cause gallbladder pain

When was your scan? I had one a year ago that was clear had another this year and showed I'm full of stones so I'm on the list for surgery

i haven't lost a bloody ounce. Diet wasn't recommended or intended for weight loss. I don't seem to like losing weight.

I've never had a scan either.
