Breast dimpling

Has anyone had this and it turned out to be nothing?? I have an indentation on my right breadt and can't see go till April 13th so getting myself stressed and worried.

Why so long to see the GP?

It's probably nothing serious - most breast issues fall into that category - but I wouldn't be waiting that long to see the GP.

If you are referred to have it checked out at the breast clinic that would be possibly another 2 weeks on top of waiting for your GP appt. My nerves would be shredded with that amount of waiting.

If you explain what the issue is chances are you'll get an earlier appt.

I explained to them when I rang, and that was two weeks ago! Will ring them this afternoon and see if they have any thing better.
Two weeks ago my breast had changed shape, now I have a visible dent. Don't think I'm going to be able to wait a month to be seen

God no. Don't wait. This warrants an emergency appointment. It is, as you know, a big red flag. As much as a lump.

Emergency appointment. Alternatively can you Google your local NHS breast clinic and see if you can self refer?

My indentation is a collapsed cyst, but I agree you need to see if you can get an earlier appointment.

Would you guys mind if I posted a photo of the dent in my breast? My husbands useless and i want someone else's opinion on it

Hope you do manage to get an earlier appointment. I went to a breast checking workshop the other day and they did say most issues are benign but to get checked asap. Fingers crossed its nothing nasty and you get the all clear very soon.

You definitely need to be seen quicker. That is shocking. Is it always that long a wait to see a GP at your surgery?

It's not normal and you need to be seen ASAP. Can't you get an emergency appointment today?

I posted a picture of mine on a group for opinions because I'd been trying to convince myself I was imagining things. Mine seemed to appear overnight and scared the bejeezus out of me. I am happy to look but please don't take our opinions as gospel, you need to see a GP and sooner rather than later.

I'm on the phone with my go now, just want to know I'm not imagining it?

Please as PPs have said ring your GP now and don't take 'no' from the receptionists.

You asked if someone had a dent and it turned out to be nothing. I had a dent - I specifically remember googling dent at the time. I had Invasive Lobular cancer. There was no lump. It feels like an area of thickening only and eventually pulls on the breast tissue creating the dent. Normally I wouldn't being using scary words like cancer but it is really important you get this checked very soon. The odds are it will be nothing sinister but if it is then give yourself the best chance by getting seen by gp now. All the best x

Please get an emergency appointment, the gp will then do a 2 week referral to see a consultant. I have just been through a similar scenario and am nervously awaiting the results of an mri. Absolutely no reason to wait till 13 April at all, our gp has emergency slots if you ring at 8.30 that morning, if you have similar you must do that. X

I can see it. Like someone said above, most breast issues are benign but time is of the essence. Good luck, you are in my thoughts (I've had two scary scares myself)

Great! Well done for standing your ground. I hope it turns out to be nothing. I have a little dimple left in one breast after stopping breastfeeding which slowly disappeared over the course of a year. I'm v glad I had it checked out though and the Drs said I'd definitely done the right thing and not wasted anyone's time.

Don't panic if you get a very swift referral now. It's the protocol and doesn't mean the dr thinks it's sinister.

doctor said its nothing to worry about, go back in a month if still concerned. He's blaming my weight
