Hope someone can advise on this tricky situation.

Have been plagued by UTIs and sinus infections recently which ended in me having about 6 courses of different antibiotics, which was a concern as I have had a proven c difficile infection in past.

Saw GP while on holiday at in laws this week as had uTI and sinus symptoms again..tested positive for UTI, had blood and pus coming from sinus..temp 38.4

Prescribed co-amoxiclav but on day 2 of it have really bad diarrhoea.. constant all day.

So feel like should stop the antibiotics but then don't want the sinus infection/UTI to flare up.

Plan was I was to hand in urine and stool samples to own GP in Tuesday but call emergency GP here if worse over weekend.

Not sure what I should do, or if they could even do anything?

Any advice welcome. :)

How could it be an NHS service if t was charged Mama1000? Hmm

I'm stil doing OK thanks Fanjo, have managed to get round Sainsbury's. Was exhausted after yesterday so must work on increasing my stamina before my return to work. My physio appt was at my hospital so it was lovely to see people.

Sorry to hear your sinuses are playing up, that's a horrible pain, isn't it? Do inhalations help at all?

Are you still planning on going back to work on Monday?

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 09/01/2016 12:45

Yes I want to go back. It's so much easier than facing all the bad feeling and I quite enjoy it. Sinuses suddenly drained a lot so maybe that will improve now.

I think I'd be better if DD would let me sleep. She is up half the night being noisy..am so tired.

Glad you got out. Hope this is sign that you are on mend at last!

Great to hear that, fingers crossed it stays that way. Smile

I'm getting there, bowels settling down (thank God!). Just trying to increase my stamina before getting back to work, have cancelled the dog walker for the week.

Am looking forward to going back to work on Tuesday.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 13/01/2016 08:30

Hope you gain some stamina by then!

I felt much better when bowels settled.

I'm doing OK thanks, was shattered after my first day but it's good to be back. Grin

How are you getting on?

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 20/01/2016 21:38

Glad it went well.

I started feeling sick and with high temp and diarrhoea again a few days after finishing the cipro. That's nearly 3 months.

GP thinks maybe diverticulitis. Has sent more samples off and to have blood tests tomorrow morning. Could also be a nasty virus that's hung on for ages but does seem to improve with antibiotics. Got prescription for cipro just in case but to hold off til results in.

I hope they get to the bottom (no pun intended) of what's wrong with you. Smile
You've been through the mill by the sounds of things!

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 22/01/2016 16:19

Thanks. Yes it's getting a bit annoying.

Hope your working week went well. Must be great to have got it under your belt.

Yes it was good, I'm a graduated return though so have been off today, doing more hours next week.
