Take some time to sleep whilst he is asleep, hope he starts to feel better today. Overlapping meds always works best for my dd, when she gets temp it really scares me, our gp said that i should'nt worry.....not a lot of help when its your dd or ds. Best wishes.

Oh essbee, I'm sorry ! If I'd known I'd have come over, though your ds may not have relished seeing my ds2 when he's feeling rough. I hope you get that appointment rearranged soon - you need to look after yourself.

Do you still want to come over on Friday?

I'm glad he's drinking a bit now and his temperature has come down a bit. You must still be worried though. Are you going to try and get him to a dr if he doesn't improve soon? Sorry to be useless!

So what did the doctor say about you?

Essbee, I'm really worried for your ds. If these antibiotics were the right ones for his infection then you really should have seen some definite improvement by now. I appreciate that you've been doing your best to keep him at home but I think that a trip to A+E may be for the best. If you go now hopefully it won't be as busy as it may be in the evening. How many times has he passed urine today?

Zippetydoodahzippetyday · 10/10/2006 13:42

The hospital should offer to take them out surely?

DS has had his out and that was because he had hearing problems!!!!???

pageturner · 10/10/2006 13:54

I don't know what fsh means . But if you don't want to talk about it here I more than understand. Fill me in on Friday. Hope ds is much better by then and ex turns up promptly!

Oh bum!

Glad ds is a bit brighter though. Tonsillitis is a misery, so he has my full sympathy! Hope he carries on the up.

I think you are right to contact nhs direct btw, its been a couple of days now, and I have read that you should always get a young child seen if they have had a very high temp for a couple of days

have you rung nhs direct yet, esbee? I think you have tried everything you can.

Tiggiwinkle · 10/10/2006 19:51

I would also get advice Essbee-they are very high temperatures and the medicines dont seem to be bringing them down, do they?

pindy · 10/10/2006 19:52

Best to be on the safe side. His temp has been very high for quite awhile now.

Good luck Essbee-hope they get him sorted tonight, without too long a wait.

Hope you're both back home soon, safe and sound. X
