Don't panic yet, could you ring the doctor and ask why?

StripyMouse · 23/04/2004 12:09

don?t panic Coddy, you don?t know what they are looking for exactly or why they have asked you to go back - cahnces are that they messed up your slide and need to retest!
Let us know how you get on and try not to let it all play on your mind (easier said than done, I know, but do try)

Twinkie · 23/04/2004 12:11

Ring tham and ask them why you have to go back - it is more than likely that your slide has been messed up.

Codswallop · 23/04/2004 12:12

have rung doc

nothing on creesn but Iknew I had to go back anyway so she thinks just a reminder

Coddy, there isn't a blood test for ms, so whatever the reason why they want you to go back, it won't be because they've found that!
Don't worry

Codswallop · 23/04/2004 12:33

lol tissy

thanks

sorry - maybe I'm being thick - did you mean another blood test? If so that makes ms pretty unlikely - as someone else said there is no blood-test for ms.

hatter · 04/05/2004 14:25

hi again,

it makes no sense to me at all - which is possibly a good thing cos I have ms and if it was an ms-related test I think I'd have heard of it.

Codswallop · 04/05/2004 14:25

I had pins ans needles for one day

does that count?

"mmary

Serum myoglobin is a blood test used to determine the severity of muscle damage, such as damage to the heart muscle after a heart attack or other injury. It measures the level of myoglobin found in a person?s serum (the liquid part of blood that has had the clotting elements removed). Normal levels range from 30 to 90 nanograms per milliliter. Higher serum myoglobin levels mean that the patient has severe muscle damage somewhere in the body. "

is that me?

OP posts:
hatter · 04/05/2004 23:56

Hi again Codswallop - that certainly doesn't sound like a test for ms. MS has nothing to do with muscle damage. Sorry I can't help beyond that. I hope this resolves itself. Good luck
