fled obviously didn't mind and understood why, but I'm sure you can appreciate the tension. Someone has to be last anyway Grin

overcome it's certainly an emotional time, without even having to do it on your own.

fledtoscotland · 01/11/2013 22:59

Cremo & shewhowines - just off nights with no sleep feeling tetchy. Not taking offence just pissed off that it's seen as queue jumping. When I has emergency surgery I was delayed for hours whilst they scrubbed theatre and recovery so it works both ways. Had all the team set up for emergency crash section in a small single room with ds1 as no theatre.

Am going to sleep whilst I'm rational. Sorry and night Confused

Cremolafoam · 01/11/2013 22:59

Overcome I felt very weepy and exhausted when my wound got infected. Started to think id never feel right again. I mentioned this to the doctor last week , saying I felt the antibiotics really made me feel worse she said it was more likely the infection itself( of course it was - my perceptions were a bit skewedConfused)
You will feel better soon, honestlyThanks
I was having a full pity-party tbh.
I still feel occasionally weepy, more on the verge than actually blubbing.
It is part of the healing.

Cremolafoam · 01/11/2013 23:01

Fled you have every right to be frustrated . Sleep well Thanks

shewhowines · 01/11/2013 23:11

Yeah fled it sounds a nightmare tbh. Just another worry to add to everything else. It sounds as if it is quite common though, so I'm sure they are well practiced in looking after you. Thanks

shewhowines · 01/11/2013 23:25

I could put on jeans. My scar isn't very sore now and my belly is as flat as it ever was no comment BUT I'm scared to try the jeans, as I have put on weight from all the scoffing of food and no activity. One day I will pluck up courage. In the meantime, I will enjoy my new leggings and tunic tops.

Cremolafoam · 03/11/2013 14:06

Well in other news I'm in A&E .
Wound leaked a cupful of liquid onto the floor this morning, in shock I thought if peed myself, but looks like an infection. Only a 3 hour wait here to find out what's wrong . Seats are very hardConfused

shewhowines · 03/11/2013 14:59

Oh no. It's been weeks since you had the op. you'd have thought you'd be out of danger now.
Weren't there any warning signs?

Hope you don't have to wait too long. What a pain

cocolepew · 03/11/2013 15:14

Oh no Cremola Sad I hope you are seen quickly.
Good luck x

Cremolafoam · 03/11/2013 15:15

Yeh 5 weeks show.
No warning. I got dh to look at my tum last night as I thought it looked bruised- a few dark marks .
He said the base of the wound looked swollen. I could barely see it over fat tum. All of last night I was sore - stabby pains - overheated- pounding heart- running to the loo.

Was standing making toast this morning and noticed my nighty was splashed with wet. Next thing a pool of grey viscous gloop on the floor .
Pulled up nighty to see wound had burst at the bottom and was black and gushing liquid.ShockShockShock
Fainted.
Waiting still at A&E . Can't find anything on line really . Really hope it's not another infection ; but it prob is.
Queue here v long. Chairs v uncomfortable. Misery level : quite highSad

shewhowines · 03/11/2013 15:29

Just what you need Shock Hope you are seen quickly and you start to feel better soon. That'll put you back a bit.
Will check in later to see how you got on.

Waitingaround · 03/11/2013 15:29

Poor you crem, hope you get seen to soon
Might be worth saying you are in lots of pain so they give you a trolley And will push you up the queue.

spudmama · 03/11/2013 15:34

OMGCremolfoam cant believe you are having to wait at A&E hope you are not in to much pain. Thats one of the things that bothers me that i cant see my scar due to large tum unless i use a mirror Blush.

Hows everyone else doing
Need to know if i am the only person who now wishes the weekend away? Huby is being great but i just cant help myself wanting to help out, he keeps moaning at me for doing to much i feel guilty that he is having to do everything i cant even change my 1 year olds nappy roll on monday when everyone is back at work/school/nursery and i can have guilt free naps.

Cremolafoam · 03/11/2013 15:42

I am now waiting for a Gynae consult.

spudmama · 03/11/2013 15:57

Cremolafoam · 03/11/2013 16:56

Back to consultant tomorrow for rereferral to his team. May need restapled. Just taking a long time to knit.
Feel better after a short weep.

fledtoscotland · 03/11/2013 17:49

Cremo - hope everything is ok. Sounds horrific in a&e. Fingers crossed the antibiotics kick in soon Thanks

cocolepew · 03/11/2013 18:11

Cremola how awful for you, take it easy Flowers

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 03/11/2013 18:11

Crem that's horrific. And after so many weeks. You poor thing. I hope they get you sorted out really soon. My DH kind of laughed when I told him I had a real fear of my wound reopening. I'll get him to read this - he can laugh on the other side of his face.

Thanks for you

Cremolafoam · 03/11/2013 18:18

Thanks everyone for gritting teeth through graphic description of my nether regionsSmile
I am home and will be in contact with surgeon tomorrow. Glad to be back home propped up in bed.
The A&E doc thinks this has happened due to previous scarring after a prior op( same wound) scar tissue refusing to heal properly inside. Who knows.
Thanks for kindness and lovely wordsThanks
