oh great- that's something to look forward to after scanning topsy !
Am v glad it wasn't as mortifying and that your pelvic floor is lovely (like smee's perfect cervix)

Husky I did have brown marks a bit like a tan line and the skin was a bit thicker. Yours may very well turn out to be nothing. I won't tell you not to worry, that would be fruitless but at least it's being investigated. Big hug at this worrying time.

Sooo, I'm back from theatre where a 40 minute procedure under local anaesthetic turned into a 3 hour procedure under general anaesthetic. They had trouble getting the line in and my neck is now really sore ( they had to use the jugular vein). So overnight hospital stay for me, home tomorrow after a repeat X-ray to make sure the portacath has stayed put.

Picture what a rotten experience. I feel guilty for having written how easy my portacath insertion had been. I chatted with the surgeon and nurse whilst it was being done. Hope the pain and discomfort soon goes.

I did think of you Lily during that first hour, but then when it was clear it wasn't going to plan I asked to be put to sleep. It was just unfortunate.

Can I ask you something ? My skin is very dry and I have some splits on my fingers that are painful. This happened last time but not so soon so I fear it will get a lot worse.
We have aveeno but is there anything else I could try ?

Your fanjo has really cheered me up topsy

^^ not something I ever imagined I would write

So you have a delicate fanjo - like a princess and the pea type thing topsy? It is good tho that you know what issue is.

Poor you picture- hope you have a good night and bruising ok as you seem to have been unlucky. Wine For you and also for amber as don't have cider emoticon.

ShockGrin At malts dh-I have onesies (yes more than one!) but not an animal one.

Nj -think ruby and mas tried something else (neutrogena??). I think ruby had better luck than mas.

Have you tried almond oil as that helped me after chemo as I got very dry but not too point of cracked fingers. Any house news?

picture that is rotten luck. I hope all is well tomorrow.

husky never heard of brown marks, which means not heard of them being a sign of anything nasty either, I was diagnosed twelve years ago and have had contact with people with all sorts of symptoms, inverted nipples, red orange peel skin but not heard of anyone with anything nasty with brown marks. Could it be bruising, that can cause a lump too? badly fitting bra? As everyone else has said we can't stop you worrying, and not knowing is the worst, but really most people get much better news after these things are investigated than us bunch of weirdos. We are so not brave, just getting by the best we can, even wimps like me.

topsy Envy of your perfect undercarriage. So I have a war wounded scarred cervix and (I can't even remember when I found this out, at some point in all the scans and vaginal ultrasounds) a kink in my bladder as well (I think it may even have been when I had the Cervical Cancer in situ and therefore pre the pigeonettes having a chance to rearrange my bits). Is the only way to stop it giving way when I cough to do a headstand? it will look a bit odd in the street, and DH will quit the marital bed forever if he finds me upside down against the bedstead after I wake him coughing (he is quite conventional)...... I think I will just keep on with the clenching....

Sometimes La la la la not listening, not thinking about being hoisted up in the sky but all respect to you, I am sure it is lovely if you are not a total wimp

HND glad I didn't sound patronising, your dss is lucky to have you. Any problems down the line we have probably had it, pm me or out on here. One of these days when we all meet up I will tell you all the full story, gigs has had snippets, you couldn't make it up......

The Mary Rose is amazing why have I been so stupid about it? It is drying now so you can see that it is made of huge boughs of Oak, hearts of oak and all that. Fantastic display of what they have found in the context of the lives of the people on the ship. I followed this lovely old couple round, I think it may have been mother and daughter but both even older than me that were so curious about every detail and inspired by all the evocations of the archer's etc lives. Smile

Big pigeons didn't smell too bad either, though I could have done without the blisters on the blisters from the wellies, bet Kate Moss doesn't have that problem. Best band Chic (from 80s) Worst Elton John (who probably should have quit in the 80s )

Will someone make a new thread please?

I met a tiny spaniel puppy called Colin this afternoon. He belongs to my friend who has never had a dog but has a very clean house. He was very sweet. She had all the windows open as apparently he smells. I think she may be in for a shock. Dogs are stinky mud magnets in my experience.

Handing out bracing pats on the back for all awaiting tests or results. Also special endurance badges for people who have been through any procedure this week.
