oh yes, have taken against army wife though her teeny macaroons were very cute. I like Frances but the designer in her can't resist embellishing- a bit of style over substance.
Am very addicted to M/chef too !

Gigondas · 04/09/2013 10:32

Is it sad that I time it so I have painkillers at right time so can have Winewhen watching masterchef?

Thanks for loom tips- I will be doing my x stitch during masterchef tonight (amGrin at pigeons addiction but the website is good...)

smee · 04/09/2013 10:40

Hello....!!! School's back so I can ignore the mound of work waiting be back here. How are you all? . Smile Smile

Gigondas · 04/09/2013 10:45

Yay you are back smee. Good hols?

MaryAnnSingleton · 04/09/2013 10:46

yay ! smee !!

KurriKurri · 04/09/2013 10:49

I too can't decide who I like on GBBO (apart from Sue obv, who I am in love with), I have a soft spot for Howard because he is a bit inept Grin and I also like Kimberly - she is very cool and calm and doesn't flap (so utterly unlike me!)

Love to all with appointments and treatment today or up and coming.

I will miss M/chef tonight as a new yoga class is starting in our village hall, so DD and I thought we would go along and try it out.
I've also had an e-mail this morning from a woman I know asking if I want to join a fund raising choir (to raise money for the chemo unit - not enough chairs so people have to wait for treatment, so we're trying to buy some new ones) apparently they are gong to do carol services etc. So I might join that (provided being able to sing isn't a requirement Grin)

Waving to all.

Busy day here as having a new back door fitted, had electrician round to discuss new lights and had picc line clean - am glad though as it is my first day on my own after 8 weeks of school hols.

Is your chemo tomorrow or next week?

KurriKurri · 04/09/2013 13:37

I've just had a call from DS - he and DDIL went into work today, and were told they were both being made redundant (them and 300 others) - they work at one of the four prisons the govt. has decided to close Sad
How shit Sad I am gutted for them.

OP posts:
kitkat1967 · 04/09/2013 13:43

MaryAnnSingleton · 04/09/2013 14:10

KurriKurri · 04/09/2013 14:11

Three months Kitkat - so I hope they can get something else in that time. They are both quite well qualified, with good vocational skills, so I'm hoping they can get something else soon. DS loves his job, he'll be gutted.

EcoRI · 04/09/2013 15:20

Fuck. One of three nodes positive. Full clearance next week, then chemo and radiotherapy.
So scared.

malteserzz · 04/09/2013 15:24

Eco sorry to hear that but if it's any comfort it's the same as me though I'm having chemo 1st, then node clearance and radiotherapy.
All of that together should get rid of everything, that's the way im trying to look at it Smile

KurriKurri · 04/09/2013 15:26

EcoRI - sorry I don't think I've spoken properly to you yet - so hello Smile - sorry you have node involvement - that is a pain, but try not to be scared - lots of us have had node clearance on here and hopefully we can support you through each stage of your treatment.
If you have any questions about the node clearance op and after effects - please just ask - happy to answer anything I can Smile

foofooyeah · 04/09/2013 15:26

KK: bad news about the jobs - must be awful for them both - double blow.

ECO: sorry you have had such a scare - will let someone more knowledgeable than me comment - hand holding is all I'm good for.

I have just managed to eat an entire a whole tub of lemon sorbet - completely wiped out the benefits of the 4 mile walk this morning.
