Back from hospital and all has gone OK so far. saw the Murray match on TV whilst on chemo so hope my shouting didn't get anyone worried! Quieter day tomorrow as have only an early evening appointment with breast surgeon. Back to hospital for bone density testing on Friday.
Strange phone call to the insurers this morning getting authorisation code for next test. I named our local NHS hospital which I think is internationally well known and is connected to an even better known university - but lass at call centre had never heard of it so I had to spell it for her!

smee · 26/06/2013 20:51

Ooh, well done Lily. Hope you continue to feel well. That call centre was probably in the highlands of scotland or somewhere like India. Do you have to call every time you need a test? Shock

Hurling lots of fbs onto the trolley for Elibean. Loiter and graze with us. Hope surgeon's wonderfully reassuring, but will be thinking of you.

Happy Birthday to BigCopt. How extraordinary to get a child to 21. Most impressive. though a bit sad she's had to go to the other side of the world to escape you Grin

No Topsy, or Gig and still no Kurri either. Am about to don combat gear and come looking for you.

Waving to all. See you tomorrow. Look Tennis!! That's the closest I've been to a game in years. Grin

Elibean · 26/06/2013 21:10

Thank you Smee

Topsy spotted on Word earlier so clearly still alive No idea where Topsy is....Wink

Lilymaid · 26/06/2013 21:21

Call centre is in Salford but I wouldn't be surprised if they'd never heard of the Christie over in Manchester. My NHS hospital starts with an A and is in acity with a famous university starting with C so scarcely obscure. for private treatment you have to phone up for authorisations for every part of your treatment which is rather tedious but you do get better food and marginally faster access to diagnostic tests. First time I've used it and only because of the firm's policy.

trice · 26/06/2013 21:31

Wave at Elite and Angry, hope your appointments go well and nothing nasty is found.

I have had a lovely day gardening. If only I could stop coughing and catch my breath it would be perfect! Stupid cancer.

I made coffee ice cubes. They are nice in baileys. Or in milk for the dcs. A nice treat for the weekend.

NedSchneebly · 26/06/2013 21:58

Swinging by to send much love to everyone - had a hideous couple of days Sad - too dull to explain when everyone has other stuff to worry about - but have missed loads. . .

Sending biggest hugs for waiting, tests, results, birthdays, sports day medals, proms, check ups, appointments and treatments.

Lots of love x x x

GoodbyeRubyTuesday · 26/06/2013 22:14

NedSchneebly · 26/06/2013 22:20

Thanks ruby - just a bit wobbly, i think its because I've reduced my antidepressant dose. Everything just seems a bit harder work this week, and shit going on at school Sad

MaryAnnSingleton · 27/06/2013 08:08

argh ! can't keep up ! Welcome to angry and waving to elibean with much hand holding from me.
ned hope you are ok my lovely xx
lily well done and happy big birthday to little copt abroad.

topsy pilgrimage to Rome ! exciting but boys are terribly vague about letters and whatnot. Scan tomorrow - irksome day as it's prom (which will be lovely) but it makes me nervous for T,and after party,it's just a very long day what with being up early for scan, with no eating or drinking, then sorting ds out and waiting up..... have emailed bcn to see if he's about for cofffee but I'm sure she'll be busy in clinic..dh coming with me though.
Am feeling really worn out as everything is a bit of an effort and feel like a dried up (literally) husk- ugh. But apart from that am fine and dandy Grin

BetsyBoop · 27/06/2013 08:30
