Ned wine is lovely- one for the meet up (will do the plans for this v. Soon).

I wouldn't waste a Lakeland catalogue on drunk mr gig Grin. He fetched tea this morning so it equalled out.

The enactment sounds fun - I assume they practice all this.

NedSchneebly · 04/05/2013 21:05

gig I suspect they practice more than is strictly healthy. . .

will definitely check out Ned wine then. . .

Glad to hear that Mrgigs came up trumps with the tea this morning. Did you get a lie in too?

Sometimesiwonder · 04/05/2013 21:08

Wagamama is lovely. I believe it may be MAS's fave place.

Kimmeridge is lovely I am Envy The stone memorial to the people who drowned is so sad.

Still no enlightenment re the police. I'll have to ask my police lady friend - she whose ds took her vibrator to school for toy day Grin Shock

Gigondas · 04/05/2013 21:12

I did in as much as can with two kids running about but was nice.

I do wonder where the desire to do that dress up battle comes fromGrin.

Toy vibrator BlushShockGrin- explain that away.

NedSchneebly · 04/05/2013 21:12

Grin Shock at vibrator sometimes !!!! I am not sure what i would do if one of my class brought one for show and tell. . .

MAS YOU OUT THERE? Need wagamamma recommendations for tomorrow night!!!!

NedSchneebly · 04/05/2013 21:15

I didn't get a lie in today, but had a nice chilled out morning with DS. I said to DS this morning (inspired by CITV advert for something, not being deliberately mawkish Blush ) DS, what makes you smile? His response? When you are happy, mummy. Are you happy today? Ulp. May have had a little something in my eye. . .

Gigondas · 04/05/2013 21:17

Aww - that is so lovely ned.

Sometimesiwonder · 04/05/2013 21:21

Aw bless little ned.

Mawkish. How I love that word.

The vibrator story is fab, isn't it? I almost lost bladder control when she told me Grin

topsyturner · 04/05/2013 21:21

My friends DS asked his teacher the other day what her Porn Name was ... Grin

I'm watching The Voice too Mas
Hurry up and choose someone Will !

NedSchneebly · 04/05/2013 21:25

it was bad enough when small boy in my class was singing "blow my whistle baby" as part of his music performance. Not sure what I would do with an actual item to contend with!

NedSchneebly · 04/05/2013 21:27

mawkish is a great word. Is it time for another favourite words discussion? Moist is a favourite of mine. . .

Sometimesiwonder · 04/05/2013 21:35

Moist is a word that makes you snurk. Spindrift is my very favourite of all words...

Comedy words? I'm going for furtle. Very Benny Hill.

NedSchneebly · 04/05/2013 21:39

gusset is another snurk-worthy word. . .

Sometimesiwonder · 04/05/2013 21:40

Gusset is.

Sometimesiwonder · 04/05/2013 21:42

Pump.

The Lickey Hills always raise a laugh around these parts.

KurriKurri · 04/05/2013 21:57

Aww - little Ned is such a cutie. I love Kimmeridge, and Corfe Castle p so near to where I grew up (if you happen to drive through 'that village where we met in the pub for lunch' Wink and go down the road a bit from there, you will see my Mum's house - you probably passed it today - set back from the road, For Sale sign outside. If you see a very old lady hurling bird food around in the garden that will be my mum, if you see a woman in glasses shouting 'Yah, look at meeeeeeeeeee everyone' that will be my sister Grin

Thank you for throwing stones for me,Smile - DH is being - well I'm not sure what, - I feel a bit uncertain round him, but he is being friendly at least. But I'm not going to run around trying to adapt my behaviour to his mood, it's too stressful. I am getting on with stuff, if he wants to be involved he can, if he doesn't, I'm doing it anyway

Trice - sorry about the cystitis, can anyone go out and get you some of those sachets from the chemist? (cytolan or something they are called) - they work quite well, until you can get to GP, drink plenty, take pain killers and have a hot water bottle on your tummy xx

Am hooting at 'vibrator goes to school' Sometimes.

I have watched all the crap reality telly, BGT - tick, The Voice -tick (is it just me or is this programme desperately unfair - if you are at the end of the list you have a much smaller chance of being chosen, but if you are last on the list you are guaranteed a place in the Shout Off)

We are going to watch (The?) Castle shortly - DD gave DH a DVD of it for Christmas - not tried it yet but its supposed the be good.

MaryAnnSingleton · 04/05/2013 22:44

Ooh, Wagamama ! I very much like the yaki soba or the wagamama ramen, duck gyoza and chilli squid and the coconut reika for pudding -yum Grin
Dh made very fab vegetable stir fry for supper - am so tired now -will have to go to bed.

I thought that about The Voice KK. Will did the same thing last year, waited until the end knowing there would be someone truly great coming up, last to give it a bit of drama. I felt sorry for Hearsay guy and Bucks Fizz girl. They were a bit average but it must be hard to go back for a crumb from the table and not get it. I'll live though Grin

The situation with dh does sound hard KK. I hope you get through it though. He does love you, you know. But he has his own particular difficulties to deal with, as well as being a bloke (with apologies to mr gig) but it must get bloody wearing. You're so right to just do your thing and try not to let it get you down.

Sometimesiwonder · 04/05/2013 22:55

Oh!

I knew you'd have a view onvWagamama. Wink

Sleep well.x

Figgyroll · 04/05/2013 23:08

Happy Anniversary, Sometimes. It's ours too, today. We've made it to 34 years. Smile Laughing at the vibrator story. How funny is that!!!! We've been out for an Italian with DS2, who we still haven't told yet about DH's recent diagnosis of kidney cancer. Maybe tomorrow.

Malt, I agree with the others - be very careful in your selection of dailies and magazines. BC stories are rife and to be avoided at all costs in case you stumble across one that isn't uplifting and reassuring. They can set you back weeks in 'coming to terms' terms, if you get my drift.

Hope you can get something for your cystitus, Trice. I fully sympathise.

KK, I read a few pages back about how difficult things are with your DH at the moment and I think you're doing the right thing by not adapting your mood to suit his behaviour, otherwise you're condoning it, aren't you? I hope he sees sense soon.

Ned, your little lad sounds so lovely, I could give him a squeeze. No wonder you had something in your eye.

Gig, I have Lakeland porn too - I love those little catalogues and am already planning my next purchases Smile

KurriKurri · 04/05/2013 23:18

Happy anniversary to you and MrF too Figgy - 34 years is fantastic Smile

Thank you for kind words all - you are so lovely xx

MaryAnnSingleton · 04/05/2013 23:32

Happy anniversary too figgy and hope that ds2 copes ok with the news..thinking of you all xxx

OP posts:
Gigondas · 05/05/2013 04:19

Another happy anniversary for figgy and mr figgy.

Kurri- think you are right not to pander to dh as that is not god for you - I know it's hard for him but that doesn't excuse all his behaviour.

And agree that they were eeking out the voice like did last year.

Is the castle an Aussie film about family living near an airport? If so, it is very funny.

Am Smile as my sleep training going better as managed to get to 4am-Brew now and then back to bed. Mini gig has left one of her badgers in kitchen to keep me company.

Gigondas · 05/05/2013 04:20

Mas-mentioning all the lovely wage mama food is making me hungry.

Copthallresident · 05/05/2013 05:44

Morning gigs I made it to 4.50..... but it is a lovely dawn.

Big Copt and I love Lakeland. We have all the best gadgets. The apple corer and segmenter, the pineapple twizzler, the strawberry huller, the best manicured fruit in Twickers Smile there is great excitement when a new catalogue arrives. We particularly enjoy the endorsements, mrs j from Solihull raving about the whoopie cake making machine. Surely there can be nothing wrong in the world if Mrs j can rave about a novelty confectionary gadget? Also we are convinced that the product development process at Lakeland team is to take a load of WI types into a room and give them mind bending drugs. Grin

Also watched all crap TV last night . Thought the ending of the Voice just a little too contrived. Dr Who (NOT crap TV) was a good one though, in a Yorkshire accent with Diana Rigg Smile

Wagamama is great, agree with all mas's selections plus the edamame and I like the spicy Ramen too.

KK if DH being friendly then sounds like he knows he has been a dick. Is he actually changing his behaviour in terms of the computer game though? I think you are quite right to not make concessions and assert your own stuff /life. At least the gardening stuff is full on at the moment. It's all promise, I love this time of year.

DH was a complete dick throwing his weight around in bar over bill after we had had a lovely meal on Friday night. The girls and I just left him to it but yesterday was contrite and laid off the controlling behaviour most of the time. Like you I am just getting on with it. I can see that his life must feel especially out of control at moment . He keeps talking about how he is going to enjoy his retirement but I am Hmm about him being around all the time.

Just wondering whether to call it a day on sleep, would it be very eccentric to do stuff in the garden at 5.30 . I suppose it would, especially if goondog gets carried away with his football and wakes all the neighbours, so will lie here for another couple of hours....
