i sometimes get 'blind spots' on my chin just before my period. i can feel them rather than see them. sounds similar. def hormonal, but then i've got awful skin any way Smile i'm sorry i have no ideas, because i i can never seem to get rid of spots at all!

sweetmonkey · 04/05/2006 09:22

thanks. usually my skin is fairly clear but it always seems to be my chin that errupts. just under the skin. grrr

will go to chemist at lunch time.

thanks to all

Smile

its annoying isnt it! if you find any effective product, share!

sweetmonkey · 04/05/2006 09:46

yeah i will do. i have just been on the liz earle website like batters suggested and ordered the spot on treatment but will go to the chemist at lunchtime and see what they suggest.

my period finished at weekend so hormones shouldnt be too bad now i think. am due a pill check at the docs so might speak to him about it when i next go

if i find a miracle cure, i'll be sure to post on here

well i went to the chemist at lunch time and he told me i had acne. Sad

i know there are worse things it could be but ive always been proud of my skin and stuff.

he said i had it slightly at the side of my face and obv my chin.

hes given me a gel to use but i feel so fed up. my skin is smooth (apart from my chin at mo) there are no spots on the surface on the side of my face.

i thought acne was what teenagers got and was when somoene is really spotty.

the chemist just seemed really harsh when he was speaking to me Sad

Squeeeeeeeeze. 'Tis the only thing.

sweetmonkey · 04/05/2006 15:16

theres nothing to squeeze though. its under the skin

plus been reading about it and it says if you squeeze it just spreads the infection further under the skin

awww :( Sounds like he was in a grumpy mood. Is there such thing as mild acne, or breakout of acne I wonder?
I always have 1 or 2 huge spots dominating my face and lots more brewing personally :(
Its grim.

sweetmonkey · 04/05/2006 15:22

well its just usually my chin. but when he said about the side of my face as well

i cant see anything there though

OP posts:
charliecat · 04/05/2006 15:22

Have you had spots there before so he can see scars?

sweetmonkey · 04/05/2006 15:24

no thats what i dont get, i hardly have ever had spots. the occassional one here and there but thats it

OP posts:
charliecat · 04/05/2006 15:25

what did he give you for it? If he really thought it was acne surely he would have sent you to the GP??

sweetmonkey · 04/05/2006 15:27

Yep, you do sound down, but, ive just googled the stuff he gave you and it says...
Panoxyl Acne Gel is used to treat acne. It works by softening , loosening and removing the top layer of dead skin that may block the skin pores and cause acne.
This medication also has a special antiseptic effect and drying action. The topical use of PANOXYL 5 Acne Gel provides therapeutic control of acne through drying and desquamative action, as well as providing antiseptic activity.

So it sounds like it should sort out your chin :)

sweetmonkey · 04/05/2006 15:32

yeah i might try and go tomorrow morning. its such a silly thing to get worked up over, but i dont smoke or drink. ive been eating healthy, only drinking green tea and water and had alot of sh*t happen in the last 6 months.

finally felt i was getting on with my life and its just like someone taking another knock at me.
