Just been for a smear - the nurse couldn't find my cervix

Now I'm booked in to have the doctor do it. Where has it gone? They've found it every other time.

Has anyone else had a cervix that's gone AWOL?

I think the results come through fairly quickly.

It was a no nonsense woman doctor. No special chair. Just bish bash bosh and it was done.

I could have kissed her but that would have been totally inappropriate.

5 days was a quick results wait. Thank goodness for old fashioned 'no nonsense methods' It was there all the time, I bet, just hiding to wind everybody up, but knew this woman was not one to be messed with .

Hi to all I too went for smear on Tuesday but no joy in seeing cervix even with fists under bum she said because I've been through the menopause 11yr since my last period. So prescribed Estrogen cream to apply and go back on 11th August to try again .
