Am wheeling the trolley over....

OP posts:

Morning All

Smee hope you managed to get some sleep last night , and that the work is done !

Copthall psoarisis is a product of an over active immune system . So given the recent miracle of my remission diagnosis due to my immune system fighting off my lung mets ,I suppose I can't really complain ! Grin

Mas pick me up a hot chocolate too please !

topsyturner · 13/11/2012 07:44

Loving the thought of psoarisis being my ADHD friend soooo much Grin

topsyturner · 13/11/2012 07:49

And as for swimming in an outdoor pool , on Hampsted Heath , in November ???
Nuts !
Sad (this is the colour I have gone just thinking about it)

Mind you , I have a friend who is part of a group of Mad Women who go swimming in the sea off the coast of Northern Ireland , every Christmas Day !

Copthallresident · 13/11/2012 08:11

I'm up too sharing an early morning Brew, it's a nice virtual thought but in reality a sad glass of water.

MAS I also have a friend who swims year round and posts lovely pictures of his friends in the blueness and primary colours of a turn of their 1910 outdoor pool at sunrise. It all looks gorgeous and uplifting until you see they look blue too...

Topsy Glad to hear of your overactive immune system Smile , a friend we would all welcome with Brew Biscuit Thanks WineI am sure. Though of course you are allowed to complain about the itching, tubs of lard etc.

KurriKurri · 13/11/2012 10:40

hello all, am trying to catch up on your posts from yesterday. Smile

MAS - lovely to see you back, glad you had a nice time Smile

topsy - good you've had your appointment, hope you can have the light thing asap, - meanwhile hope the lard does it's job (at the very least you'll be ready to swim the Channel at a moment's notice, should the need arise Grin)

ned - hope itchiness gets sorted soon - sounds horrible, poor you Sad

gracie - also hope new drug works for your itching/sorenes.

Smee - hope you didn't have to stay up all night working, and are feeling a bit less pressured today.

Gig - good you have had your scan, - always god to have everything checked out for your own peace of mind, but I'm sure all will be fine.
I like little Gig's style with her equipment chewing Grin

Cazza - nice to see you again, - I agree with what the others have a said about tamoxifen, but also agree that you need a long chat with BCN or consultant about the fact you want another baby if possible. There may be some other drug that is better suited, or a different drug timetable that would suit you better.

waving to Copthall and SR and anyone I've missed.
Sorry for haste and if I've left anyone out - am thinking of you all, but have a lot of stuff to do at the moment, and my mind is a disorganized jumble (some things keep falling out, other irrelevant things seem to be cluttering it up!)

Gigondas · 13/11/2012 11:33

How unreasonable that they wouldn't send you to the sun topsy but I have heard those sun beds can be very effective as friend of dh used it.

Scan went ok but I was really stiff last night so slept very badly - better now after lie in and warm bath (all of which points to muscular issue).

cazza speak to your Bcn or also check out livestrong.org as they have a lot on fertility and cancer treatment. It is meant to be something that they discuss if relevant.

smeehope have a productive day.

copthall it is a bit medieval treatment of dorries but she did ok. And interesting to hear that bush tucker not that bad.

Right better limp off and do something .

SparkleRainbow · 13/11/2012 20:48

Peeping in to see if you have still saved me a place on the sofa, I bring fondant fancies as a peace offering for having been AWOL for so long.

All ok, just trying to hold everything and everyone together, as is usual for a mum's role! Am applying for a job, and have interview on Friday too, so like arghhh!

Hope everyone is doing ok, miss you all
X

KurriKurri · 13/11/2012 20:52

Ooh fondant fancies Grin

Job interview - how exciting what is the job - is it teaching? loads of luck - but you won't need it, you'll wow them Smile

topsyturner · 13/11/2012 21:07

Cake Klaxon !!!!!!!!

Though I have a cheek bobbing up for fondant fancies when I have 3 Reeses Nutrageous (3 for £1.20) in my fridge ...

Gigondas · 13/11/2012 21:15

Job interview sounds interesting sometimes.

What are reeses nutrageous? Tell me know before bush tucker trial starts and I lose my appetite

Gigondas · 13/11/2012 21:18

Sorry sparkleBlush

topsyturner · 13/11/2012 21:19

Reading from side of packet - crunchy peanuts , peanut butter , creamy caramel , and chocolate coating .
Super yummy and much better than a bulls testicle Grin

Gigondas · 13/11/2012 21:20

If I lived nearer I would be round to raid your fridge. Instead I must console myself with eating what is left of big gigs Halloween chocolate.

KurriKurri · 13/11/2012 22:10

Anything described as Nutrageous gets my vote

I have been very good with my neverending diet this week, I allow myself one little square of dark chocolate a day (because it's good for you, -it is really, really and truly).

I am most annoyed with myself, - I sent an email Amazon voucher to my niece for her birthday, and I made a spelling mistake in her e-mail address, and it hasn't arrived Sad - I'll have to hope Amazon don't charge me twice if I get them to send it to the right address (and I can't get through to their chat helpline atm, so I can't sort it out yet). I'm an idiot.

FrankWippery · 13/11/2012 23:55

Evening, just!

Been a long old day, but had the surgery this morning and have spent the day mostly in a floaty haze thanks to morphine followed by codeine. It has been lovely! My arm is rather sore now that the added local that they put in before I woke up has worn off, but I've put off taking the dihydracodeine (sp?) they gave me until just now. I hoping that will give me some half decent sleep.

I slept shockingly badly last night, waking every hour thinking it was 6am and therefore time to get up. Had a good old doze at the hospital though. Back home now, my lovely sister collected me, armed with half of M&S's food hall, collected DD3 for me, and has generally been a fab nursemaid for this evening.

I'm to return on the 6th December once arm is hopefully well healed, but with the warning the they may need to re-operate if the outer markers (or something like that) show up crap cells too. But will cross that bridge if and when we get there.

Copthallresident · 14/11/2012 00:26

Frank l'm glad you have got it over with and it has gone so well. Yes they do look at the margins of what they take away to see whether they are clear of dodgy cells. However they are so experienced that they usually get it right.

I would share my M&S choccies DH bought me after yesterdays stresses with you, and everyone else, but Blush

Gigondas · 14/11/2012 07:39

Was wondering how you are frank - hope you had a good night and spend today in a nice haze of painkillers eating and relaxing.

The sarcoma team are pretty good at getting stuff out- I had a big old tumour (whole other story as to why it got so bigHmm) but they got out a lump size of a small Xmas pudding with margins so are quite nifty at doing it.

Brew anyone? Have got flu jab today and am hoping it doesn't give me the huge bruise that dh had when he had his done. Leg feeling little less stiff which is good.

topsyturner · 14/11/2012 07:41

Morning All

Welcome home Frank
Let people look after you and be kind to yourself now .
Positive thoughts for clear margins !

Copthall as its a first offence I'll let you off . But any further "keeping all the choccie to yourself" will incur a suspension of all board privileges !
Grin

MaryAnnSingleton · 14/11/2012 07:43

well done frank - rest up now and eat lots of sustaining treats.
They sometimes do have to go in again to make sure margins are clear, but don't worry about that now
sparkle - job interview -yay !! missed you but lovely to see you and fondant fancies
Try reese's peanut butter cups - they are truly the best !!

OP posts:
topsyturner · 14/11/2012 07:44

X post Gigs
Yes please to the cuppa , I am still in bed and need the motivation to get moving !
Good luck with the flu jab , they still haven't decided if I can have one yet this year ...

FrankWippery · 14/11/2012 07:44
topsyturner · 14/11/2012 07:45

Aaaaaargh x post Mas too !
Mmmmm Reeses peanut butter cups ...

topsyturner · 14/11/2012 07:46

Good girl Frank
Copthall - what Frank did !
Grin

FrankWippery · 14/11/2012 07:47
Gigondas · 14/11/2012 07:48

They are probably thinking you have no need of jab with your wondrous immune system topsy Wink. I am always a bit cynical as only vaccinates against certain flu strains which is probably why I still got flu one year when I had the jab.

Waves to mas- how are you feeling?
