Not pg. Definitey not pg (I was, MC about 10 weeks ago at 4.4). Have since had a BFN.

Have got sharp niggly pain right where I think my ovaries are, maybe slightly to the left. I've had a scan and they couldn't see anything unusual though.

It was coming in waves, but it's been getting worse all day. It's perfectly bearable but seems to be getting worse. If I press on it hard its a really sharp pain that makes me yelp. It's not sending weird shooting pains down south Hmm

Have just started AF, just to complicate the issue.
So, any ideas? Am I going to die? DP keeps telling me its a grumbling appendix (he's had appendicitis). I keep telling him to feck right off. Confused

Yelp!

That reads wrong. I haven't had a scan today - but a few months ago due to other ishoos.

Could be constipation...

NulliusInBlurba · 25/10/2012 18:08

Endometriosis? Can only be diagnosed with a laparoscopy.

If it's on the left, surely it's unlikely to be your appendix - which I believe it situated to the right Grin.

JackThePumpkinKing · 25/10/2012 18:08

it's not moving around though, and farting doesn't seem to ease it much Grin

JackThePumpkinKing · 25/10/2012 18:09

Haha, yes appendix is on the right. DP insists that it can start on the left side and travel accross (I'm sure I remember that from ER as well Hmm)

Endometriosis. Hmm.. can that cause fertility problems?

When was your BFN?

JackThePumpkinKing · 25/10/2012 18:11

I did several schobe - one a week after MC, and another about 3 weeks after. Haven't DTD the a couple of months at least either.

WinklyFriedChicken · 25/10/2012 18:11

When I had severe constipation it didn't move at all, pressing down on the left side was agony, and farting made no difference whatsoever. The doctor thought I was having an ectopic pregnancy to begin with. I would suggest lots of water and some high fibre foods/laxatives to see if that helps and go see your GP tomorrow.

JackThePumpkinKing · 25/10/2012 18:13

Well we're having something v spicy for tea, so if it's constipation that should get things shifting if that's the problem. :)

JackThePumpkinKing · 25/10/2012 18:14

Thanks all btw. tis taking my mind of what is now rather searing pain.. aaagaggg

OP posts:
schobe · 25/10/2012 18:14

So no sex for more than 6-8 weeks? Can probably rule out ectopic pregnancy then. Which is good of course!

JackThePumpkinKing · 25/10/2012 18:17

Def no shagging since before the beginning of August. Jesus Christ.. that's ages Hmm

Ach you've had a mc - nobody's counting!

Could you be ovulating?

JackThePumpkinKing · 25/10/2012 18:22

:)

Not ovulating, got AF though. I reckon I'm in for a really fun weekend.

Sounds like endometriosis to me unfortunately.

Have they scanned you before and not seen anything?. Would not be surprised if they had not seen anything as endometriosis if it is there would not be detected on any ultrasound scan.

Would suggest you keep a daily pain and symptom diary as it can give the gynaecologist clues. Any symptoms that are cyclical in nature and get worse up to and including menses should be checked out to see if endometriosis is indeed present. It is the second most commong gynae problem seen in women after fibroids but it is very much underdiagnosed.

www.endo.org.uk is a good website.

JackThePumpkinKing · 25/10/2012 19:16

Does it suddenly flare up like this Attila? Gah.. its getting more and more painful :(

OP posts:
JackThePumpkinKing · 25/10/2012 19:20

Sorry - yes I've been scanned before and they didn't find anything. Had random abdominal pain 2 months after a MC (a year ago now). Hmm

It really hurts when I stand up now. Bearable when sitting down, but feel very tense. Can't walk upright at all. Waa! :( :(

Call NHS Direct, or your OOH Drs.

It seems to be getting worse quite quickly.

JackThePumpkinKing · 25/10/2012 21:17

I feel v tired. Pain's fucking exhausting.

OP posts:
JackThePumpkinKing · 25/10/2012 21:20

Ugh. It was annoying niggly pain yesterday. Occasionally stabby today, now I can't stand up without yelping. Mum has helpfully suggested IBS.

Confused

Much more of this and I will be ringing BHS Direct. don't worry :)

OP posts:
JackThePumpkinKing · 25/10/2012 21:20

Or even NHS. I don't think British Home Stores would be much help in this situation Grin

OP posts:
MissWinklyParadiso · 25/10/2012 21:26

They could suggest a vair naice lamp to shed some light on the ishoo [hgrin]

But if tis escalating that quickly might be worth getting it checked out quickly.

Could still be constipation, I was in utter unable-to-walk agony and got told off by the docs for not seeking help sooner, but could be something else. DrMumsnet isn't infallible.

giftorloan · 25/10/2012 21:29

think you need to ring nhs direct if pain increasing.

BHS could supply some smart cushions for you to recline against...
