I was full-steam ahead about having one until someone told me the fitting was "awful" and that they put some sort of clamp on your cervix?! Sounds like torture!

deffo alcohol is good

I had 400mg of ibuprofen before I went but my cervix was playing hide and seek, so by the time she found it I was already tense. If it does all it promises with regards to easing periods etc it'll be worth it. Alcohol was a no-no as I had to drive myself back to work afterwards, but I ahd a big drink last night!!!

I had mine changed this week as it had been in for just over four years. They squirted local anesthetic on my cervix and i hardly felt a thing!

Had my coil taken out today and it didnt hurt at all, in no pain now and not bleeding either. Piece of cake compaired to when it went in.
