And I'm really really scared.

Is anyone up to hold my hand and tell me it'll be ok?

Sending positive vibes for your little girl, hope you manage to get some sleep xxxx

minxthemanx · 13/06/2012 21:42

Hoping you manage to get some rest over the next few hours. It's really good to know that her meningitis is the sort that can be treated with antibiotics - that's a big plus. When you're having a crappy moment, remember there are lots of us on here who have been through similar - we're all with you and you're not on your own. xx

pumpkinsweetie · 13/06/2012 21:44

Hope you're able to get some rest tonight, and hope little B picks up a bit tomorrow

dikkertjedap · 13/06/2012 22:04

I am sorry that you had a hard day. I hope you can sleep a bit.

Hopefully the transfusion will give B a boost tomorrow. It is good news that she is getting the right antibiotics for the meningitis. Hopefully they can find out soon what else may be wrong with her.

You mentioned in an earlier post that she hadn't been right for quite a while, so maybe try to think back about symptoms why you think she wasn't right. This might be able to point the doctors to what else may be wrong.

I wish you and B and your dh all the best.

Tikkabillajive · 13/06/2012 22:15

Have only just seen this thread and wanted to add my wishes to you and your little DD.

I had a very scary time with my DS when he was 10 months old, he had pneumonia (is now a big, strapping and very demanding 4 year old) but the fear I experienced during our stay at hospital has stayed with me and always will I think. Your posts have really brought it back to me. Luckily, he can't remember any of it but talks rather smugly about how brave he was!

Hope tonight's nurse turns out to be a kind one! (Most of them are pretty amazing in my experience but I so remember what it's like when one is extra kind and bends the rules a bit for you!)

My thoughts are with you and I sincerely hope tomorrow is a better day.

chimchar · 13/06/2012 22:17

This thread is full of good wishes for little b.

I hope you are being kind to yourself and are able to take some strength and warmth from the love on here.

I hope that b is better very soon....she sounds like she's having a hard time, the poor thing. X

PoppyWearer · 13/06/2012 22:18

Sorry to hear that, OP. Been dealing with a sicky baby here myself today and I kept thinking of you and it helped me to keep things in perspective and count my blessings. It also made me go and seek medical advice. Take care x

doggiemumma · 13/06/2012 22:21

[pombear]Bear for little B, sending my thoughts to send you all strength and prayers that you will all be at home together really soon xxx

Jnice · 13/06/2012 22:36

Sorry it was a rough day mud - I hope tomorrow brings another peak and B soon starts feeling stronger. You both continue to be in my thoughts and I hope you get some rest x

beatofthedrum · 13/06/2012 23:00

So sad to hear it's been such a tough day for both of you :(. You poor soul, it must be so hard. Hope your beautiful wee girl is feeling better tomorrow xxx

hellymelly · 13/06/2012 23:29

keep checking the thread to see how B is getting on. I'm sorry it was a rough day but hope she will have a better one tomorrow.

ExitPursuedByABear · 13/06/2012 23:30

Oh goodness I cannot imagine how you are coping with the worry of seeing B in so much distress.

Massive ((((((hugs))))))) to the pair of you and hope for better news tomorrow.

peggyblackett · 13/06/2012 23:57

Thinking of you and B and hoping that tomorrow is a better day for you both x

funnyperson · 14/06/2012 00:52

Poor you. Brew
Poor DD.
Sounds like the hosp is being very thorough. All very confusing for poor little baby. This too will pass. She will get better.

StopEatingThatMud · 14/06/2012 01:21

Funnyperson thank you I'd forgotten the old MN this too will pass mantra. I sure as hell hope it does soon.

DD has woken up screaming twice in the last hour. Literally frightened the life out of me the first time as I was asleep.

Her temperatures up again so they've given her some calpol and the doctors just checked her over after the 2nd time and can't find anything immediately wrong.

I really bloody hope tomorrows a better day...
