Hiya Grin

I'm Bella...

Have about 7lb's to lose before my BiG APPLE trip which is ooooh only a few days to go.

Have had quite a good day food wise, apart from the choc hob nob and glass of wine. No gym today as I am doing extra hours at work invigilating.

How the feck is everyone?

Grin Bella

jaquelinehyde · 29/05/2012 22:45

Bella bloody hell I would have moved in and watched them for you with that menu on offer Grin

Bitchy it is nice with everyone back isn't it, even Bella going off on holiday makes me feel at home as a thread wouldn't be the same without a fabulous Bella household jaunt Grin

Bella will you make sure we get to see lots of traditional New York pics please? Or will you and Mr Bella be too busy indoors and if that is the case please don't share those photos Grin

YankNCock · 29/05/2012 23:53

Ok, caught up and saw Jet and Fanny again, yaaaaaayyyyyy!!!!!! Hi!

bella, I hope New York is better for you than it was for me. Just over 5 years ago that's where I decided I was leaving XH (and blew about $300 at the Clinique counter to make myself feel better). Ah well, everything has worked out for the best. Had a lovely barbecue last weekend with XH and his parents. Have promised to go help XH with some basic DIY stuff as he's totally useless at anything like that. I do love the role reversal. Grin

If you go on the cruise, I'd advise taking the shorter one. The one that goes all the way around Manhattan got quite boring in the latter half.

shine0ncrazydiamond · 30/05/2012 00:12

Evening all!

So good to see all the old faces. I'm missing fab though Wink

I am illing this evening with a sore throat and general malaise [ get me ] so have only had the following today ...

2 x wholemeal pittas with stir fried veg

Feta, roasted butternut squash, red peppers, tomatoes.

3 peppermint teas.

I like the old gang being back together - who do we still need to round up?

BellaVita · 30/05/2012 06:15

Jaq, plenty of outdoorsy pics will be taken Grin although we are staying in The Waldorf and it is supposed to be very nice....

Yank, $300 Shock. I think MrB is going to book New York Passes tonight (he wanted to read all the blurb about them first). You don't have to queue normally to see the attractions - get fast tracked to the front. There is a cruise included with this, not sure what the length is though.

Shiney, hope you have got over your illing today.

MrsNouveau is that you? who lives near Trills?

We need Norma back.

Morning. Yes Bella, that is me :)

I followed BIWI's low carb bootcamp for 2weeks and lost 5lbs and 2inches off my waist (that was mostly in the first week) then did week 3 a bit more relaxed and then gave up in week 4. It really worked for me but I got bored and I was obsessing about food which I didn't like.

But I now eat healthier. I eat way more veg, hardly ever have pasta (the bread has snuck back in though) and drink way more water than I did.

Today the plan is
B - porridge with raisins and honey, water and cup of tea
L - eggs of some sort, more water
D - out at friends so no idea - cake for pudding is inevitable!

Try to drink 2litres of water.

I don't get any more exciting do I? :o

fivegomadindorset · 30/05/2012 07:04

Morning all, two lices of toast with low fat butter (doesn't really go together those words) and marmite, off to work. See you al later.

Lizzylou · 30/05/2012 07:18

I still haven't calmed down, I couldn't sleep for the rage.
I think I may need some perspective Grin
DS1 is fine, he has taken it all on the chin. But when the reality of not being with his mates hits he will be sad.

Ah well.

Yank, can't believe you are so close now!

I think righteous indignation must have lost me some lbs Wink

Mittzopachycephalosaurus · 30/05/2012 07:30

Bless you Lizzy, I feel your protective rage though,
DD isn't 'in' to foot ball but after a few sessions with the school team, she was 'bullied' off for not being good enough Sad
One would draw blood wouldn't one.

GrinGrin at Bella's NY excitement.

Jet (((( )))) very, very lovely to see you, you fabulous woman. Coaching sounds amazing. Am very impressed.

I have lost some weight according to Doctor, although she acknowledged I am built like a brick shit house very muscly! Grin
I am cutting down on certain exercise to lose weight and then start a new plan so there is less fat to convert to muscle. As my body seems to be very efficient at it!
Willowy I will never be Grin.

shine0ncrazydiamond · 30/05/2012 08:21

Bowl of strawberries and natural yogurt to start the day. Am then out shopping until lunch time so won't eat until then, and then it'll probably be a roasted veg stuffed pitta < yes, I still fixate on one food and eat it constantly >

Morning to all! Off to take some paracetemol for my throat. See you later

Trills · 30/05/2012 09:30

Mittz if you are a brick shithouse you are a very elegantly designed one.

YankNCock · 30/05/2012 10:04

Am going to try to limit my refined carbs, as DH has pointed out I've been eating too much of stuff like that (bagels, crisps, bread). So I had porridge this morning instead of my bagel/bread with peanut butter.

Have I mentioned DH has been on the Cambridge Diet since February, and has lost over 3 bloody stone?! He's getting a bit fed up with it, but wants to lose at least 1 stone more, ideally before baby gets here. If he can manage 1.5-2lbs each week it should be doable.

I think I'd try it if I weren't going to be breastfeeding.

jaquelinehyde · 30/05/2012 10:13

Morning all.

Nice to see everyone logging in at the start of their day.

Lizzy I am far too competative when it comes to anything sport but I just don't get the whole 'my child is the saviour of English football' attitude and if your child isn't up to standard you can fuck off brigade! It really, really narks me.

In fact DS is very, very athletic and while he is enjoying it we encourage him to do as much as he can but we don't get actively involved IYSWIM. He started football club a few months ago and his coach bought him home and came in telling us he is the best footballer he has ever seen at that age, who had been training him up to this point, did we know he could play with both feet and that it had really made his day. DS is 6! Fucking 6! He has never been taught to play football and this was the first football club he had ever been to.

I just don't get it, DD1 went and tried it out the other week and she was useless, kept picking the ball up and throwing it Grin but as long as she enjoys it she is going, no fucker is going to bully her off the team!

jaquelinehyde · 30/05/2012 10:15

Oh and today is my weight day and I have lost 2lb, however, I'm not getting too excited as this is the same 2lb that has been bouncing around for the last few months.

So yes it is 2lb off my first 7lb target but next week is the one I am really looking for.

I only have 3.5lb to go until I drop into the next stone bracket and that will be a HUGE boost.

Bowl of melon for breakfast and a nice bup of tea.

Lizzylou · 30/05/2012 10:45

Mittz, you are lithe and lovely!

Yank, well done MrYank, that is amazing.

Jaq, woohoo for 2lbs, well done you.
Am so with you re: football, DS1 just wants to play with his mates, he wants to have fun. It is just so ridiculous for it to be so serious at this age. I think we have a way forward (without me scalping failed footballer cunt) and Ds1 has been a real superstar about the whole thing, very proud of him.

I have had nothing to eat yet, too muggy and humid here to feel hungry. Not like me at all.

BitchyInTheCorner · 30/05/2012 11:10

I have just woken up, ds is still asleep. Really can't be bother. far too many chocolate chip cookies have been consumed. They were homemade though but don't think this makes much of a difference.

Plan of action
brunch - coffee and scrambled egg on toast
tea - erm, not idea. forgot to meal plan this week.

Snacks - muesli bar/celery? hmm.

Flaw to plan 1: I need to actually think about this rather then coasting.

MrsNouveauRichards · 30/05/2012 12:44

I don't really get football and I don't understand why people get so obsessed with it, especially grown men Hmm

Might have to write off this morning (chocolate cake, whipped cream and shortbread Blush )
Drinking my water though, and lunch was pitta and hummus.

So hot here today and DS being a little monkey.

BitchyInTheCorner · 30/05/2012 13:11

He is a cute monkey though. Love his determination when he blunders through on a mission. Grin

----------

That is the line. I am forgetting about today. I am going to go under prepared to a meeting. And I don't actually give a fuck. Which is a problem as I really should do. Meh.

MrsNouveauRichards · 30/05/2012 13:13

Hmmm, cute sometimes, have spoken to HV this morning, they are going to get a child development person out to see him, couple of things they think may be worth investigating.

Hope meeting goes well.

jaquelinehyde · 30/05/2012 16:02

Good luck with the meeting bitchy.

Lunch today was again soup and 1 slice of bread followed by yogurt.

Dinner is going to be turkey burger and salad with beetroot and coleslaw.

I have snacked on a banana this afternoon.

I've been so bored today but managed to get through a huge pile of paperwork which is good. I'm struggling because up until last week I was privately tutoring 3 different Uni students and so was trawling through pages and pages of dissertations and essays. Now they have all handed in and finished I have nothing to do until I find out whether or not I can start a masters this year or if it will have to be next year.

I suspect I am going to be reading a lot until the dc's finish school.

VinegarTits · 30/05/2012 18:36

B - slice of ham
L - tomato pasta and LOADS of salad
D - Gammon, new potatoes, LOADS more salad

gallons of water (which i drink anyway as im addicted to it)

Fanny i dont fancy your brekkie, do Lice count as protein?

Im going on my cross trainer later

BitchyInTheCorner · 30/05/2012 18:40

Meeting was better then feared. Thank you.

Having time to read is a bad thing? Shock

jaquelinehyde · 30/05/2012 18:53

No time to read is a great thing but I just feel I should be doing more!

I'm going to read academic text books, at least that way it feels like research instead of just being a lay about Grin

Vinny how long are you doing on the cross trainer? I will match you on the stepper...I was thinking of doing it whilst watching The Apprentice.

fivegomadindorset · 30/05/2012 18:56

Absolutely Vinny Grin

break was a banana
Lunch a salad from =Waitrose 187 calories and a packet of Quavers

Supper is bream, steamed veg and may or may not do potatoes but the bream is huge.

ThatVikRinA22 · 30/05/2012 19:00
