this is what DS chose The balls are like walnut size with different faces/ characters like this I think the idea is that you get lots of balls and swap them with your mates. the racetrack is basically a track that you drop the balls down and they land in a scoring box at the bottom with different points. Quite addictive to try and get in the 100 point box!

gig "lot better" sounds good love. Glad you had a good sleep - it makes such a difference, I found. My mood improved significantly when I got my sleep sorted out. Hope you can have a peaceful day. Ginger biscuits on the trolley for you x x x

Gigondas · 15/05/2012 12:31

Hmm big gig would love that (her birthday next month). But I am walking the line on what she would like v. Tiny bits as mini gig isn't far off the anything in her mouth stage (so far she is confining herself to her fist , Muslins or dh finger). Any tips on how you sort this as seems bit harsh on big gig to have no plastic barbie or similar small toys.

Perhaps I could start a thread on aibu about her only having wooden or educational toysWink . Talkig of which anyone seen the bse thread?

Yes ned you can see am better as been nattering with Mate planning birthday parties this morning.

NedSchneebly · 15/05/2012 12:34

Yay, good for you gig you definitely sound brighter this morning! Will give the midi gig birthday present issue some serious consideration. . . .

KurriKurri · 15/05/2012 13:25

I failed Sad - got 100% on theory, but failed the hazard perception by 2 marks (I got 0 on three of the hazards for answering in an unacceptable manner Grin - i.e clicking too often). Very annoying because I knew what the hazards were, and was just too anxious to make sure my clicks had registered.

Oh well, I'll just have to do it again - a young lad (who looked about 12 but must have been 17) came out at the same time, and he'd failed too, so we commiserated with each other.

Going to read all your posts now Smile

1stepatatime · 15/05/2012 13:26

Topsy - hope you get sorted out and are soon feeling better.

Gracie - sending positive vibes your way, hope you get good news from your onc.

Kurri - hope this morning's test went well and the fact we've not heard from you means you are out celebrating!

Waves to everyone else.

1stepatatime · 15/05/2012 13:29

Sorry Kurri - crossed posts (obviously) Blush. Better luck next time. I didn't have to do the theory test but confess to taking several attempts to pass my test.

Gigondas · 15/05/2012 13:29

Oh kurri how annoying - but 100% on theory is great. And a nice way to
Meet young men Wink

Sometimesiwonder · 15/05/2012 13:47

Oh bugger KK, how Angry

Better luck next time Hmm .....

MaryAnnSingleton · 15/05/2012 13:52

100% is brilliant though, never mind kk -you'll be calmer about clicking next time - are you having a nice latte to comfort you ? Sorry you have to go through it again -bah ! (am really glad it wasn't like that in my day)

OP posts:
NedSchneebly · 15/05/2012 13:59

Oh bollocks kurri. I guess at least you know the drill for next time? hope you treated yourself to some fbs in commiseration. . .

gracie anything from oncologist yet?

KurriKurri · 15/05/2012 14:19

thanks all - its annoying but as Ned says, at least I know what happens now. DD made some rather nice chocolate cookies while I was out, so I've cheered up Grin

I had my hair cut after the test - very short, and booked to have it coloured in a few weeks (have never had my hair coloured before, but it's getting very grey)- can't decide what colour to go for though.

gracie - hope you hear from the onc. soon and he sorts out what is going on. I hope he gives awful doctor a rocket for the way he spoke to you.

Gig - glad you are feeling a bit better today, and have been able to eat and sleep.

Sometimes - your DD doesn't beat around the bush does she? Grin Loads of good vibes for your op. - do you know how long you are likely to be in hospital?

topsy - how annoying about the infection, - sounds horrible, I hope they get it sorted out soon.

Smee - good news about your friends sister, hope she continues to make good progress.

Ned - I like the look of little Ned's toy - I could have good fun with that Grin

love to MAS, 1Step, amber, baskets and everyone else xx

Sometimesiwonder · 15/05/2012 14:36

I think i'll be in for three days, KK, but am hoping for less. We shall see. I am feeling positive and not too worried, but i can't concentrate and have a headache, so I expect I am a bit stressed about it really.

So, hair colour Are you after something subtle, or a statement colour? So much to choose from, how exciting. I went purple once, that was fun. Could you get one or two different wash in, wash out colours and see which suits? It might give you an idea.

Gracie - hope you get some news from the onc soon. x

Gigondas · 15/05/2012 14:44

We need topsy she is the hair colour expert.

Sometimesiwonder · 15/05/2012 14:48

We do, though I suspect she may be another vote for purple.....

graciesmall09 · 15/05/2012 14:59

That is such a shame kurri but well done on 100% theory.

sometimes in case I don't get on later, good luck tomorrow hope it goes well.

No word yet from onc, hopefully he will phone when dh home.

Sometimesiwonder · 15/05/2012 15:01

Thank you Smile

Keeping everything crossed for you..... x

KurriKurri · 15/05/2012 16:10

I don't know what colour to go for Sometimes - I quite fancy the idea of purple or red (as in bright red, not auburn) hairdresser suggested dark brown - which was my original colour before I went grey, but I'd like something a bit funkier - maybe some streaks of another colour.

yes we need topsy - I will go with whatever she suggests (within reason, - I can't pull off bleached blonde)

Will be thinking about you tomorrow, and sending good vibes your way for op. - any idea what time it will be -are you on morning or afternoon list?

gracie - xx hope you hear soon

topsyturner · 15/05/2012 16:51

Going back into theatre this evening to get knocked out and have my boob reopen and cleaned .
Probably won't post again till tomorrow now .
Commiserations kk on the driving test , put back in for it straight away . I definitely think you will get it next time .

Thanks for all the orange men gigs , you have made my surgeons laugh when they saw what I was down loading !!!

topsyturner · 15/05/2012 16:52

Yes definitely proper bright red , not burgundy !!!

smee · 15/05/2012 17:06

((((hugs for Topsy))))) bloody hell, another GA is all you need. Do they know why it happened, or is it just sod's law? Will be thinking of you tonight xx

Kurri, how annoying! Still 100% is rather impressive. Hair colour sounds like the way forward for summer.

Gracie, hope you've heard some good news by now.

Sometimes, are you packed?? What time do you have to be there?

KurriKurri · 15/05/2012 17:07

Oh good luck for this evening topsy, hope you are home and recovering soon.

1stepatatime · 15/05/2012 17:14

Just popping in to wish good luck to Topsy and Sometimes. Hope your ops go smoothly xx

Sometimesiwonder · 15/05/2012 17:16

Poor Topsy. You need treats. Hope it goes well this evening. x Thanks and virtual Wine

Got to be in for 7am, guys. Shock Not sure where on the list i am though Hmm

Have to go now - see you afterwards: when I hope everyone will have had good news and be feeling better. xxx

NedSchneebly · 15/05/2012 17:29

All the best for tomorrow sometimes have probably missed you, but thinking of you x x x

Bloody hell topsy you don't need all that. . . Hope they can sort you out once and for all and then leave you alone to eat fbs. . .

kurri how about a variety of different shades as highlights, iyswim? Some reds, some browns and some more blonde shades.

Gigondas · 15/05/2012 18:00

Lots of luck topsy and glad the orange men worked. sometimes keeping vibes for an early slot so you can have some fbs and a bit of loose women watching.

kurri told you that Topsy would help.
On way home after very delayed rads. Also saw counsellor who is going to do some cbt and mindfulness techniques to help with anxiety . She was quite good.
