I'm going to do it....
I mentioned it to the girls at work and they were a bit dubious about doing it with me.....
I'm tall and slim and they assume I'm fit but I'm not I get puffed out doing ring a ring a roses with the kids (I work in a pre-school BTW)

JenumGeranium · 25/01/2006 21:40

Ring a ring of roses is strenuous (sp) stuff!

have entered sun 11th june (week before my wedding) great excuse for getting in shape. shall we talk tacticks for training JARM???

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 25/01/2006 22:50

chaps.... go ahead!

Im currently a 12 stone lump of lard, so realyl starting from scratch.

the link further down has a really good 8 week training programme on it - onyl advises 3 x a week training , but i plan to do Davina McColl's workout DVD in between.

apparently best to do 1 min run, 2 mins walk etc and built it up......

OP posts:
notasheep · 25/01/2006 22:52

You will do it,have confidence in yourself.

I am so into this whole race for life thing that at 6months pregnant i was giving out medals at the end!

chapsmum · 25/01/2006 22:55

IT is a great race, I would have done it last year in memory of a dear friend, but was in the throws of labour. hosp v close to finish line though!

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 25/01/2006 23:02

im not doing it specifially for anyone, just those who have loved and lost.

i lost my mum in 2004 to chrons disease so i know what heartache is, and believe me, if NACC did this sort of thing, i would be patron saint of it by now.

OP posts:
SleepyJess · 25/01/2006 23:46

Yep I will do it again this year.

Dingle · 26/01/2006 00:30
