Bought this as not prepared to fork out for a gym membership as I know I'll never go.
Did it today, thought the pump bit of it was not too bad... 30 minutes, light sweat little bit puffed, so sat down and had a flick through the dvd extras
Then once cooled down jumped up to make some lunch
And my legs collapsed, like jelly... even now they feel... unreliable like after 14 double vodkas type of thing

Lol at 'moose-like'. So true though....

ggg, Ihave the second one - very hard work but makes you feel extremely virtuous if you get through it. Don't know what the first one is like, sorry.

Tasa · 19/01/2006 12:31

I like the first one better I think but that's probably because I know it better but I like alternating between the two Dvds

I have done my workout DVD this morning, its only for half an hour but afterwards I feel so drained and tired and takes me a good half hour to come around, its the third time I have done it now - does it get better? Have noticed already that my legs are more toned.

Piffle · 19/01/2006 12:42

only half an hour, well done takes me about 2 days
Seriously I did the first day of it and was immobile for hours afterwards in shock.
Yesterdya had to go out straight away and pick up ds from school so felt a little shaky in the arms from the boxing but recovered within half an hour so you sound normal to me

I've been doing the first one for a quite a while and the pump section of the new one I find very heavy , I get very sweaty very quickly and feel drained after it but I think I will get used to it the more I do it; I think it's very hard but good too

crazydazy · 19/01/2006 12:48

Lol Piffle at feeling shaky, exactly like I am when I go to pick kids up. Feel like I am coming down with something and then realise its because I have done the exercising. Had a pain in my chest all day yesterday and was wondering what it was and then today when I did the exercises I felt the pull in the same place so I had obviously pulled a muscle there

Piffle · 20/01/2006 14:41

Did the pump again today - found it easier and was able to work harder, used weights this time
Am doing day on day off is that usual?
Now today my inside thighs hurt. I never got that far down last time
I wonder if I'll be walking like John wayne in the morning...
Everyone else keeping it up then?

Just read this thread with interest and thought I would post.

I got Davina's new DVD workput in Dec and like Piffle, after the first time I used it, my legs turned to jelly. However, they got over it and I now do the pump 4 times a week and I have to say its given me much more energy and generally feel fitter. No weight loss, but looking more toned around waist and thighs.

I attempted the cardio / boxing workout with Mark but I found that too hard. I've not even looked at the core stability yet, but would love to hear more from you guys.

IMO the pump is a good intense workout! Happy Pumping!

Tasa · 08/02/2006 22:11

how is everyone doing on this? i loove it and do the first Davina DVD about 3/4 times a week. not sure about weight loss but really much more toned, how is everyone else doing?

Beetroot · 08/02/2006 22:12

i am doing it, not got the old one thougth

Piffle · 08/02/2006 22:14

I'm still doing it
I do the Charlie Brooks one too and alternate the two.
CB's a longer 5x10 minutes warm up/disco/combat/high intensity/pilates cooldown
I simply cannot manage it 2 days in a row!
Davinas is easy to follow and you cna work harder the more fit you get.
I'm not getting any major weight loss but am noticing a waist appearing! I am also expecting my jelly belly to reduce like magic
Plus I feel SO virtuous and really enjoy doing it!
