Could I just ask - how many times have your children vomited in the past 12 months?

Not including babies obviously

I'm beginning to think my kids are weird!

Feistybird · 12/01/2006 09:44

they're 3 and 5 and they've not thrown up in the last 12 months.

oliveoil · 12/01/2006 09:48

dd1 is 3 - none

dd2 is 16 months - none

I don't think dd2 has ever vomited!

dd1 has gastroenteritus (spelling alert!) for a few days when I was pregnant with dd2 I think, and that is it.

Are we all tempting fate massively here?

Glad you are coping. I don't know why I am reading this wretched thread as I know I can't post on it (dh is away tonight and I can't bear to tempt fate!)

Dd1 (8) cannot remember the last time she was sick think it may of been when i was preg with Ds so ages ago.

Dd2 (6) about a month ago. She has asthma though and if she gets a cough you can garuntee she will be sick.

Ds (3) was sick half way up the stairs on sunday.

suedonim · 12/01/2006 17:02

Dd2 was sick just about on the hour every hour, last night. She's dehydrated, I'm sure, as she's not done a wee since yesterday.

My 7yo dd used to vomit approx 4 times a year but I started her on probiotics every other day 6 months ago and hasn't been sick yet. My 5yo ds (who attends childcare) has never vomited yet, he tends to get rid of things through the other end. My 2yo ds has vomited once. All of them are on the probiotics every other day (2yo ds for eczema/food allergy more than anything).

MrsSpoon · 22/01/2006 17:15

I just wanted to say thanks, was sure posting on this thread would jinx us and it has, DS2 now got sick bug! Knew I should have kept my mouth shut!

Am crossing my fingers and touching wood as I type this as don't want to tempt fate.

Luckily for me, as I have a phobia of vomiting my kids are hardly ever sick.

DD is almost 6 and hasn't been sick since she was 3 (and that was when she had meningitis and it was only once then). DS is 3 and he is usually just sick when he gets a cough.

I'm sure it is hereditary though as both DP and I were never "sicky" kids either but my sister was and her child is too.
