Great news 14k and Dee Grin 14k, looks like you'll be through everything life's thrown at you recently in 3 weeks, which is great news.

1in8, big hugs to you.

Topsy, somehow have acquired a strange feeling that I NEED new, especially frivolous shoes. You are a bad influence .... I'm thinking raspberry red velvet

topsyturner · 03/11/2011 00:17

I was going to bed , but a strange presence drew me back to the laptop .
And what should I find ? Butterflies you are a very naughty girl ...

Grin
topsyturner · 03/11/2011 00:19

And cat , stop showing off that someone sent you flowers ! not jealous at all that I had to buy my own from Tesco Grin

butterfliesinmytummy · 03/11/2011 03:53

Gah! Topsy, I'm being punished for leading you astray - Topshop's free international shipping doesn't include my country ... raspberry shoes are still on the wish list!!!!

jchocchip · 03/11/2011 06:37

Morning all. Thanks for all your kind comments. Took my supper to bed early last night and fully expected to read a book but fell straight asleep. Woke up when dh came to bed at 2.30 and again at 5.30 when dd gave cat breakfast. I've now got up to let cat out!
Thought I was ok but already weepy - aargh. Going to have to exercise today, even though I feel crap. Stupid thing is, I know a few lengths of the pool would do the trick and that would be so easy! Not sure I want to get the bike out this wet cold morning... It may have to be the gym!

jchocchip · 03/11/2011 06:40

And I think I WILL go to the pub tonight - it's sort of on the way home from rads... Does beer mix with rads, anyone know?

topsyturner · 03/11/2011 07:50

jane go for it - re the pub ! Beer mixes with everything . You are probably feeling weepy becasue of the relief . You need to take time to allow it to sink in . And allow yourself to be happy !

Oh dear butterflies , how much is international shipping on the beautiful raspberry velvet shoes ? Maybe I should buy them and wear them for you < evil grin emoticon >

I am up stupidly early today . Had another really vivid and horrible dream .
Dreamt that I woke up at 1am because I could hear pig/dog barking . I came downstairs and let him out . He ran straight out and found an escaped prisoner in our garden , the prisoner picked up a large tree branch and stabbed pig/dog in the chest with it .
The rest of the dream was about not being able to find a vet to come out as an emergency , our vet had gone out of business , couldn't get any other local vets to respond etc .
Was just awful . Ended up coming downstairs at 6am and waking up a very confused pig/dog to give him a hug !!!
Will be so glad when these damn steroids are out of my system and my dreams calm down ...

MaryAnnSingleton · 03/11/2011 07:51

oh yes, beer is fine, absolutely.
Those velvet shoes are adorable ! I could never walk in them but could admire and stroke lovingly.

Sadly they don't ship here at all. There is a Topshop in town but it's expensive compared to the UK and they don't often have up to date stock - might just have to take a look tomorrow.

Jane, beer mixes with everything. Can you put loud music on and go for a blustery walk?

smee · 03/11/2011 09:23

I need shoe training !! Am feeling inadequate. Grin

Topsy horrible dream. You're right, steroids are a bugger. Sad Bet PigDog liked the hug though. Smile

l4k, didn't realise you had an op on the horizon. Hope you're not too daunted by it all.

Jane, you need the pub, beer's on the list of things that helps. Smile

Cat, sounds like I have the same relationship with ironing as you. Wink

Kurri, hope you're okay today and no more sickness. How's the hand feeling? Is it working??

Hope everyone else is good. Cold, grey and wet here. Trick or treat remains are calling me from the cupboard. Is 9.20am too early for a mini milky way?

jchocchip · 03/11/2011 09:26

I really must get some music sorted out. I'm ashamed to say that I'm of the walkman generation and haven't managed to sort out mp3 music for travelling yet... I don't think the internet radio would work out of doors. In the car I tend to listen to radio 4!

Love velvet especially that colour. Used to have a velvet mill down the road and I bought loads of end bits for pennies at the Mill Shop. Have a jacket and hat in that colour I made years ago. Mill moved production to U S A and to add insult to injury they have demolished the mill this year. Good job I bought far too much, really - have a stockpile sufficient for several hundred patchwork cushions...

jchocchip · 03/11/2011 09:28

Hi Smee it's never too early for chocolate :)

KurriKurri · 03/11/2011 09:35

Yes to beer and the pub jane - in fact yes to anything that makes you feel better. I know its miserable when you're going through it, but I do think that crying is physically beneficial (doesn't it release endorphins or something? ) so probably your body trying to make you feel better.

I could not walk in those shoes either, I would just fall over - like a short fat Naomi Campbell Grin But they are v.pretty, - how sad they don't deliver butterflies, - you will have to treat yourself to some shoes to get over the disappointment Grin

topsy - those dreams are exhausting - I used to get them too, they are always about endless obstacles and insurmountable problems, v.odd. I can imagine pig-dog's surprised face as you hugged him Grin I took a really sweet photo of little old lady dog, I'll try to put it up later today.

Waves to MAS Smile - busy day ahead?

My wrist is all red and swollen, and v.painful - I'm hoping that's normal Confused

KurriKurri · 03/11/2011 09:38

x-posted Smee, - its never too early for a milky way, they are one of the four main food groups.

Wet and grey here too, I've put the heating on and am cuddling a cup of tea -more in the pot if anyone fancies a brew.

KurriKurri · 03/11/2011 09:40

Oh and sickness has gone today - It has just dawned on me that it is stress sickness - with all the worry about dad, - so normal for me, I am a thrower upper by nature Smile

MaryAnnSingleton · 03/11/2011 09:41

ow,poor kk
butterflies I could order the shoes and post them to you, would that be an idea ? (and could stroke them for a bit first)
Am doing my dull bit of cleaning/dust redistribution, then working on roughs for some pictures - I have 4 lined up to do-family trees-I hope I don't get muddled with family members.

OP posts:
topsyturner · 03/11/2011 09:52

I have a large tin of roses , if you are quick you might just be able to snag one . As long as no one touches the strawberry or orange creams ...

smee · 03/11/2011 10:01

If milky ways are one of the four main food groups, what are the others? Am v. much looking forward to eating them. Grin

Sorry your wrist's so painful, Kurri. Could you phone surgery and ask them to check with Dr. You wouldn't need an appointment.

MAS, I still would v.much like you to do a family tree for my parents. Is that okay? If so I will sort photos.

Grin
topsyturner · 03/11/2011 10:07

Nooooooooo !!!

KurriKurri · 03/11/2011 10:07

Smee - they are cake, biscuits, and wine - didn't you do 'o' level biology? tsk. Grin

Ooh roses, hazelnut whirly thing please topsy.

cakesandale · 03/11/2011 10:08

Jane - beer is fine with reads so long as it isn't much - you need to be very hydrated so anything that dehydrates isn't good. But a bit is fine.

great news dee and 14K WOOHOO!!!!!

1in8 - not so good. But you will get through it and come out the other side absolutely fine. And we can help you through.

love to everyone: work going mad at the mo'......xxxx

, though Kurri, I like!! Must have slept through that lesson. Grin

How's your dad today? Any news?

Cakes, hope work isn't too insane. Mine is too, but am failing to do it, so wittering on about chocolate.

MaryAnnSingleton · 03/11/2011 10:16
