Oh kurri, you poor thing, keep sipping Brew, and can you have a nap later?

I love the use of "dont trollop around with that!" Grin

I would love to be a trllop with you topsy, but quite frankly I am too knackered Grin

MaryAnnSingleton · 24/08/2011 12:55

MaryAnnSingleton · 24/08/2011 13:16

MaryAnnSingleton · 24/08/2011 13:18

cakesandale · 24/08/2011 13:19

Poor topsy. Ouch!

And poor Pink! Welcome back! That all sounds like a trial. But it's a big hurdle (nearly) over. Hang on in there, and take it easy. x

MaryAnnSingleton · 24/08/2011 13:20

ds invited to db' and lalaa's this w/end- barbecue and sailing -mum and dad going- I said that I thought that perhaps ds and 8 yr old niece shouldn't share a room as they used to Sad as he is now 14

KurriKurri · 24/08/2011 13:26

Lovely to see you Pink, but sorry you have seroma problems, - what a pain. I hope you start feeling better soon Smile

Ouch to vein prodding topsy Sad - but good that its over, and that you have popcorn

Sparkle - I think I'm going to try to stay awake, so that I sleep tonight, but I could easily curl up on the sofa right now. The piano tuner is due in about half an hour though, so I've been pottering about trying to stay awake. I've risked eating an apple and a piece of toast, - I don't feel ill, so don't think its a bug, I think it thyroidiness.

cakesandale · 24/08/2011 13:54

What a shame MAS, your boy is growing up. I think you are right though. Sad

MaryAnnSingleton · 24/08/2011 14:01
Sad
Figgyroll · 24/08/2011 17:07

Afternoon all. The sun has finally come out to play. Hooray!!! I've had a lovely friend round for a natter and a Brew this afternoon. Tomorrow I have an appointment with the oncologist re radiotherapy. I hope it's all straightforward.

Topsy, so glad it's over with. I hope your driver works it's stuff and you don't feel sick.

What a pain, Amber. They've been very lacking, haven't they, when it comes to organisational skills?

Sorry to hear about the seroma, Pinks. I'm 19 days post-op and have a slight swelling but the consultant assures me it will "disperse". I hope so.

Hope you manage to stay awake, KK. Black coffee?

Shame about the sleeping arrangements, MAS, but I'm sure it's for the best now your son is getting older.

cakesandale · 24/08/2011 17:12

Hooray for sunshine and good friends. Great tonic.

I hope tomorrow's appointment is plain sailing figgy. I am sure it will be, I have a good feeling.

SparkleRainbow · 24/08/2011 18:03

Right I am living in topsy turvy land, cos it has started raining here!!! Grin we need it though. I was supposed to pull all the carrots today to protect them from carrot root fly, so far I have vacuumed everywhere, cleaned the sittingroom, changed and washed the bedding, made jam and bread rolls, tended the chicks and chickens, painted with the dc, taken dd1 horse riding, and done the mountain of ironing, but not done the carrots, what are you betting I get a series of sighs and I disgruntled lecture when hisnibs comes home Sad Not taking that bet by the way Grin

Pink, you have had a miserable time, I am gad to have you back here!

MAS I feel Sad that my little ds is growing up and he is only 8. 14 seems like adulthood to me Sad Goes too quickly.

Kurri, hope you are hanging in there, I wondered if it was thyroid related. Have a Brew to help.

Figgy - what a nice way to spend the afternoon, now you can have a natter and a Brew with us too.

Cakes is there gin with your tonic, if so, yes please Grin

MaryAnnSingleton · 24/08/2011 18:38

mmm,gin and tonic - yes please !
Am sending special thoughts to figgy and amber for tomorrow.
Blazer quest - sorted... he tried on a few and we ordered one which should last him until the end of year 11 -and I think they will sew the badge on too ! Still have to endure holding his trousers from last term up against him to see if I need to buy longer ones (he won't want to actually put them on of course...thank goodness for adjustable waists.) We passed some school mates on bikes up our road and they waved-I asked who they were and he just said -'oh,people...'
Waitrose delivery here -hooray and also my birthday pres from dh (ordered early,it isn't until Sept,- a pair of most lovely red shoes - have tried thm on and always fret in case they will be uncomfortable as I'm only used to flipflops, ballet flats or softy suede boots - the edges feel stiff, but I'm pretty sure they'll wear in.

MaryAnnSingleton · 24/08/2011 18:39

Sparkle - you are a human dynamo - am sorry that you'll get disgruntlement- it isn't fair Sad

MaryAnnSingleton · 24/08/2011 18:48

shoes !

cakesandale · 24/08/2011 19:06

They are nice! Lovely colour, too. Envy

We also have to do the whole scooliform thing here, maybe tomorrow. I hate it, and so does dd (though she likes having stuff held up against her for some reason). Confused

S[arkles, I hope you don't get disgruntelment, that would be hard to put up with. Sad

Trying now to make myself go to Stretch'n'tone (grr). I imagine I will fall off the determined chair some time in the next 25 minutes

amberlight · 24/08/2011 19:30

yay to shoes!! Seem to have a pre-tomorrow glass of Wine here. Jolly good.
Pink - eek re your situation there. Everything crossed that it sorts itself out v soon.
'Evening everyone else, and thank you for the kind thoughts.

topsyturner · 24/08/2011 19:40

MAS - very nice shoes . I do like a red shoe !

sparkle - slow the heck down woman . And if DH complains about the lack of carrot pulling , then get outside to the carrot plot , pluck the biggest one you can find , go back into DH , and insert it where the sun don't shine ! Grin

I have had a bit of a shitty day . Should have known it right from the start . Be prepared for a rant now .

Started off with a rude awakening at 4.20am . Some wee scrotes thought it would be hilarious to let all (aprox 30) the horses out of the fields and stables opposite our house .
Would have been hilarious , watching all these burly heavily armed policemen trying to herd 30 horses back into a field , if it wasn't 4.20am !

Then we had the hospital fiasco of running nearly an hour late , then not being able to get a line in .

Went to the shops this afternoon to get DS some school shoes , went smoothly .
Went into M&S found a lovely red dress I liked , tried it on , still liked it . Went to pay for it , found there was 25% off ! Brilliant !

Got halfway out of M&S and started to feel quite sicky .
Then , embarrassment of embarrassments , I wet myself walking out of the shop !!! Blush
Luckily I was wearing jeans , and it wasn't too much . So didn't show up .
But what the hell ??? Never happened to me before .

Got home , got cleaned up , lay down on sofa .
About half an hour ago started feeling really sick , checked my syringe driver that dispenses anti sick meds . And realised the bloody hospital had forgotten to turn the damn thing on !!!!!

So all in all , a mixture of good (new dress) and bad today !
