Muma3 the rings don't often come out. they can make you much more comfortable so I'm told

Hope it all goes well for you.

And from someone who sees a lot of privates in a day, I can assure you that I don't really 'see' any of them, IYSWIM. They are just part of the job, and I would no more flinch at someone's fanny than at someone's ear

muma3 · 23/11/2005 18:12

Muma3 the nurse will have seen it all before, try and relax, easier said thanb done I know. I also hate personal examination, but during my last smear, I realised onceo n the table that I hadn't waxed my legs, and found myself apologising to the nurse for it!!! The nurse laughed and told me an anecdote aboutt he time she was on a course and had to get on a table as part of some sort of scenario, she said she'd had to flash her hairy legs to a whole class of people....

I know the above has nothing to do with anything, but wanted to make you feel a little better if possible. Good luck with tomorrow.

good news wasnt as bad as i thought - well the results werent but the examination was i had a panick attack, but the nurse said she thinks everything looks fine and YES i think i got carried away with the thought of it being worse case senario . anyway- i have to go and see a a physiotheripist and do some exercises to tighten everything up but i should be back to normal within a year. PLEASE DONT SAY I TOLD YOU SO - i feel so silly but as my dp says at least i got things checked out and now i know but it was a complete nightmare. they arent going to refer me now to the gyneocologist (sp?). i have a lision which i what i cold feel and she said that it i just caused by having such a quick labour and delivery.
i feel soooooo stupid and now im so embarrased to tell you all that everything is fine.
to all who do have this problem i am extremely sorry for going on like an idiot and hope that you all get it sorted as soon as poss.
good luck to you all and once again i know im stupid.

Mama 3,

I am absolutely DELIGHTED for you that everything is OK and that you will be able to have a quick and non-surgical solution. I am so glad you plucked up the courage to see someone about this and that it has not turned out to be the crisis you envisaged. I hope that this great news has made you feel much much happier.

Where your health is concerned and when you experience something abnormal it is human nature to automatically think of the worst case scenario so there is no need to feel embarrassed that it is all OK - everyone will be delighted for you, especially as you are so young! Personally, I am done with having children so, although it is a nuisance, I was not facing the same concerns as you so maybe am able to take a more pragmatic view.

Good luck with the physiotharapy - I hope everything sorts itself out really quickly.

is'nt it rubbish beingh a woman sometimes?........I had to have vaginal restructuring after butchered delivery of ds1 - my nether regions no longer a pretty sight and pain worse than childbirth. Is ok now but I do my pelvic floor excercises.......surgery seriously sucks so don;t leave anything but ask for immediate gynae appt - they have obviously seen it all befor eand then some so why should we care or feel strange about it........bet blokes would love the chance to go and talk about their bits incessantly!
designer fanny definitely a myth - it really really hurts having it chopped about so don't do it for the hell of it!
